Ice and Mischief - Loki Love Story

Chapter 2

I woke up with my head pounding. Groaning I got up slowly to see a pile of clothes on the edge of my bed with a small note on it. Take it easy - Thor. I chuckled at the note and removed my dress from the gala last night. It was a full body leather suit. It was white, and had a deep blue belt and a dark blue down the sides and round the edges. Slipping on a pair of knee length boots I glanced at myself in the mirror and looked into my crystal blue eyes.

My hair neatly in a side braid woven with a snowflake incrustation with wisps of my bangs slicked on the top of my head. My lips were naturally dark and I had long eyelashes which gave me a beautiful complexion. My hair was so blonde it almost looked white as I drew my eyes away from my reflection. Leaving my room I glanced down the halls before taking a left as I eventually found Thor.

"Come let's eat" He smiled offering me his arm as I took it and let him guide me as I enjoyed the warm food. He gave me a short tour as I started to notice I didn't have gloves which made me nervous slightly. He guided me into the briefing room as I got a few looks and many stares as I took a seat. Thor however remained standing as I could see they are all watching Loki on a monitor who is pacing slowly in his 'cage'.

"Ooh. It burns you to come so close. To have the Tesseract, to have power, unlimited power. And for what? A warm light for all mankind to share, and then to be reminded what real power is." His velvet voice cut straight through me as I showed no signs of discomfort, for I knew Thor was watching me from the corner of his eye.

"Well, you let me know if Real Power wants a magazine or something." The guy responded as I stifled a laugh. I think I might like him as I watched him leave as Loki looked up into the cameras smirking. Most of us just watched until the monitor went black as I glanced at Thor just standing there torn apart.  

"He really grows on you, doesn't he?" I saw Banner joke as I gave a weak smile.

"Loki's gonna drag this out. So, Thor, what's his play?" Steve asked Thor as he turned round and gave me a nervous glance causing me to sit up slightly.

"He has an army called the Chitauri. They’re not of Asgard or any world known. He means to lead them against your people. They will win him the earth. In return, I suspect, for the Tesseract." He informed as my eyes went wide.

"The Chitauri!" I asked uneasy as he nodded before we turned back to the group. I could sense they were uneasy with me, they didn't know who or what I was.

"An army? From outer space?"

"So he's building another portal. That's what he needs Erik Selvig for." Banner pieced it together.

"Selvig?" Thor asked.

"He's an astrophysicist." I whispered.

"He's a friend." He muttered sadly.

"Loki has him under some kind of spell, along with one of ours." Natasha informed  as I gently got up from my seat and went to go stand beside Thor as he looked down at me unsure.
