      My life began more than 130 years ago built from nothing by Gustave Eiffel. I now stand so many years later 984 ft tall proud as I become more loved as time passes and watch Paris evolve from the sky. I stand as a symbol of hope, love, and a constant reminder of the beauty in the world. As the Eiffel Tower I stand as a monument for all people to admire. As seen, the love for the Eiffel Tower has evolved from when it was built, to it's location, all the way to today were it's considered one of the most known structures in the world.

Gustave Eiffel was famous for many structures such as the Statue of Liberty although, namely he built the famous Eiffel Tower known for its marvelous beauty and symbol of hope. There are many people who have visited the Eiffel Tower and seen Gustave Eiffel's officer realizing what a marvelous man he was. Gustave Eiffel wasn't always famous he grew up like any ordinary child. Imagine being Gustave Eiffel and growing up in a household with 2 sisters, a mom, and dad. Being married with 2 sons and 3 daughters according to and having the glory of creating the Eiffel Tower. The creation of the Eiffel Tower didn't just happen overnight it took exactly 2 years, 2 weeks, and 5 days to build. It also took 18,000 pieces of metal, 2.5 million rivet, and 300 workers to create a building more than 1,000 ft tall. If built to day it would have cost over $31 million but only cost $4 million 80% of which was payed by Gustave himself.

Likewise, the Eiffel Tower's location and purpose although disliked at first are some of the things that have kept it standing in today's era. The Eiffel Tower was built in 1889 for the International Exposition to celebrate 100th year of the French revolution. The International Exposition was an organization dedicated to overseeing international world fairs. The Eiffel Tower when first built was considered an eyesore, ugly, and extreme. It was planned to be torn down in 1909, but became a radio anntenna to prevent it's destruction as stated in . Also due to its distinct location it serves as a wonderful landmark to help visitors navigate their way through the crowded streets of Paris.

The Eiffel Tower has tried to be demolished several times, but never successfully. Therefore showing the cherish for the Eiffel Tower among people today through its success as a landmark, symbolism, and visitation. The Eiffel Tower is a symbol of love, romance, hope, and the soul of Paris for many people around the world. Also it's sparkling lights inspire people to follow their dreams as stated in . "It welcomes more visitors than any other paid monument in the world—an estimated 7 million people per year," according to and in early 1889 over 2 million people had visited it.

All things considered, based on the designer and location the Eiffel Tower has become iconic in today's society where it strikes love and hope in the hearts of many people. The question is where did Gustave Eiffel get the inspiration for this outstanding tower?
