      Imagine, growing up as a young child moving to a foreign country only to be invaded by Natzis who take all electricity, food, and water. Sadly this was childhood for young Audrey Hepburn who later became one of the most well known actresses in history. Audrey Hepburn well known for her immense eloquence and beauty. She grew up under Natzi impression where she later rose to fame before going on to help children.

In particular, Audrey Hepburn's harsh life growing up caused her spectacular rise to stardom. Audrey Kathleen Ruston better known as Audrey Hepburn was born on May 4, 1929, in Brussels, Belgium. Audrey Hepburn's dad Joseph was a banker but left when she was young leaving her with her mother Ella a Baroness. Her mother shortly after her dad's disappearance moved them to the Netherlands thinking they would be safer in a neutral place during WWII. Shortly after they moved the Netherlands were invaded by the Natzi and millions of people's food, water, and electricity were taken leaving many miserable and starving including Audrey's family. Audrey Hepburn toward the end of the war was eating tulip bulbs to stay alive hence her skinny figure. During WWII though she helped as a courier for the resistance against the Nazis since she was young she wasn't often searched. Although seeing as her parents were Natzi sympitizers she had to keep her job as a courier a secret. A Nazi sypithizer is someone who supports Natzi's beliefs. During WWII Audrey Hepburn attended a boarding school.

Later on, Audrey Hepburn began her huge success as an actress. As stated in , "After the war ended in 1945, Hepburn moved with her mother and siblings to , where she began ballet training under , a leading figure in Dutch ballet, and Russian Olga Tarassova." This is where she found her love for acting and began work as an actress. Her first job was in 1948 in a musical in London called High Button Shoes. Audrey Hepburn recalled it being hard to tell what people thought of her performance because they were afraid to clap for someone helping the resistance afraid they would be caught by the Natzis. Therefore, when she joined Hollywood they made sure to highlight her bravery during the war but keep the fact her parents were sympathizes low. Some of her other actress parts before becoming famous included Sauce Tartare (1949), 1951's One Wild Oat, Young Wives' Tales (1951), The Lavender Hill Mob (1951), and Sauce Piquante (1950). Until finally she got her first big job on Broadway in a play named Gigi (1951). From then on she starred in many famous movies such as Roman Holiday (1953) winning her first academy award or the movie Sabrina (1954). Odine also filmed in 1954 was where she met her first husband Mel Ferrer as the male role. Her and Mel Ferrer were married September 25, 1954, in Switzerland. In 1961 she starred in Breakfast at Tiffany's a fan favorite that to this day still causes young women to bring pastry bags to Tiffany's. By the end of her career she was one of the only 14 people to ever win an Emmy,Grammy, Oscar, and Tony Award, plus she also won 3 Global Awards and Three BAFTA ( British Academy of Film and Television Arts). In 1968 Audrey Hepburn and Mel got a divorce with 2 sons, but she remarried in 1969 to an Italian psychiatrist by the name of Andrea Dotti. In 1982 they were divorced with one child. In 1980 she met Robert a Dutch actor and had an ongoing relationship with him until her death. Although never officially married she always considered them to be.

Finally, her acting career came to a holt in 1980 as she went on to help children. After acting she went on to become an ambassador to UNICEF ( United Nations Children's Fund) to help children who were to victims to WWII just like her. According to , "She understood too well what it was like to go hungry from her days in The Netherlands during the German Occupation."As part of her job working for UNICEF she traveled all over the world including Asia, Africa, Central, and South America. In her experience as an actress she met many interesting people including John F. Kennedy and many amazing actors. January 20th, 1993 Audrey Hepburn died of Colon Cancer in her home in Tolochenaz, Switzerland. She was then buried in the Tolochenaz Village Cemetery. To this day Audrey Hepburn According to is known, for "star of Breakfast at Tiffany's, remains one of Hollywood's greatest style icons and one of the world's most successful actresses."

In Conclusion, Audrey Hepburn had a rough childhood but was brave and after she became famous she later went on to help children like her. Something to think about is, would Audrey Hepburn still be as popular if her acting career had started today?
