My friend-Soriku

Riku and Sora were sitting where they always sat, at the Paupu tree. Kairi wasn't there. This was how Riku preferred it.

They weren't talking. Just sitting. The silence was comfortable and easy, as it always was. Until Sora spoke up "Riku?"

"Yeah Sora?" Riku answered. Sora hesitated for a second,contemplating how best to phrase his problem. "Sora?"

"Um... So I have this friend. He has two other friends, and he loves them both very much, but he keeps spending more time with one friend than the other"

"Ok so is your friend feeling bad about the other friend not being there?" Riku asked deciding to play along.

"Well yeah he feels bad but...."

"But?"

"Sometimes he prefers it when it's just the two of them"

"So what's the problem?"

"The other friend keeps asking why and he doesn't know what to tell her"

"What does he want to tell her"

"He wants to her to know how he feels about the other but he doesn't know how"

"Well how does he feel about the other?"

"Well.... um.... I think he.... um...." Sora mumbled his face going bright red. Riku smirked, he loved it when Sora blushed. It was adorable.

"You know what I think?"

"What?" Sora said his head perking up.

"I think your friend needs to stop being afraid to tell the others how he feels"

"But what if the others don't like it? what if they hate him after he tells?"

"He won't know until he does it and if they're really his friends, they'd never hate him" Riku explained to him. Sora fell silent thinking for a few minutes.

"You're right!" He eventually exclaimed.

"Usually am" Riku smirked. Sora jumped down off the tree so he was standing next to Riku.

"My friend isn't afraid anymore" Sora stated beaming up at him.

"That's good. So has he decided what he's going to do yet?"

"He's going to tell the others how he feels" Sora said simply.

"Good" Riku smiled "How is he going to do that?"

"Like this!" Sora said getting on his tip toes, leaning up and brushing his lips quickly against Riku's. Then he leaned back again his eyes full of fear. "Do you hate me?"

It was Riku's turn for his cheeks to heat up with a light pink tint to them. "Of course I don't hate you, dummy!" He rested his forehead against Sora's "I could never hate you" He cupped Sora's chin in his hands, leaned down and kissed him. Delighted Sora immediately kissed him back placing his hands on Riku's waist.

That was when Kairi showed up. She couldn't believe what she was seeing. Riku kissing Sora, and Sora kissing him back!

Anger coursed through her body and her fists tightened. She hated Riku. She hated him so much for stealing Sora from her! She was fighting to keep the tears

Sora and Riku broke apart and spotted Kairi. "Kai?" Sora said still breathless from the kiss.

She couldn't bear to look at them. Not together, holding each other in that way. Sora's arms around Riku's neck and Riku's in turn around Sora's waist.

She quickly turned on her heel and ran off across the beach, tears streaming steadily down her face. She hated Riku.

She hated him!
