The huge ball gown made me feel like a girl. I chuckled to myself as I examined myself in the vanity mirror.
"Brea? You ready?" Ben asked. I got up and opened the door to see a smiling Ben.
"Wow. I never thought I'd see Brea Eve Beast wearing a ball gown." Ben laughed.
"Whatever, Bennie Boo." I chuckled. He rolled his eyes and interlocked his arm with mine.
"Ready?" he asked, a smile tugging at his lips.
"As I'll ever be." I said and walked to the carriage with him. My carriage was right behind his. We'd go pick up Mal and Carlos at their dorms.
When we arrived, Carlos literally dropped to his knees. "Wow..Brea..you look gorgeous." he blushed, as did I.
"Thanks. Now get up. We're going to be late." I laughed and helped him in to the ride.
"Wanna eavesdrop on their conversation?" Carlos asked and pointed to Mal and Ben.
"Sure!" I smiled and got closer to the couple. The ride was silent until we got to the church.
"Mal, would you wear my ring?" Ben asked, sliding off his ring and placing it in front of her eyes.
"Um, not now. I think it would probably just fall right off me," she said quickly. "I have something for you."
"For me?" Ben asked, surprised. She nodded and handed him a box.
"Yeah. It's for later, you know, when you need strength. Some carbs to keep up your energy." Mal explained.
"Always thinking," Ben replied. "But I can't wait." He shoved the cupcake into his mouth.
"No!" Mal cried. I looked at Carlos and gave him a confused look.
"Mm, mm. This is really good." Ben said.
"Hand me some!" I said. Ben laughed and shook his head.
"Uh...do you..?" Mal trailed off. I looked at her confused. What's with her?
"Mal?" I asked.
"Do you feel okay?" she asked Benjamin, who wore a smile on his face.
"You bet." Ben replied simply.
"Would you say you're still in..that you have very strong feelings for me?" Mal asked, worried.
"I'm not sure. Let's give the anti-love potion a few minutes to take effect." Ben said. Mal and I nodded.
"What?!" I asked, suddenly realizing what my twin said. He chuckled and looked at me.
"I can explain myself.." Mal said, scared.
"No, look, it's fine. I mean you had a crush on me. I was with Audrey. You didn't trust it could happen on its own. Am I right?" Ben asked a little to cockily.
"So you've been faking it this whole time?" Mal asked, a little saddened.
"I haven't been faking anything." Ben said and grabbed her hands. She smiled and looked down at them.
"Yuck." I said and got out of the carriage with the help of Carlos. "Thanks." I smiled.
We walked up to wear my mother and father stood, happily. As my father say Mal, he apologized for yesterday.
"Come on, let's go." I said and showed Carlos to his spot in front of the podium. I stood there with my parents.
"You'll benefit from this too, dear, don't worry." my mom whispered. I smiled as Ben walked in.
Everyone bowed down to him. A smile grew on his lips.
"Do you solemnly swear to govern the people of Auradon with justice and mercy, for the five years you shall reign?" Fairy Godmother asked.
"I do solemnly swear." Ben replied, my fathers old crown perched on his head. Fairy Godmother looked at me.
"And do you, Brea, solemnly swear to watch as your twin brother reigns for five years, while you watch as crown princess?" she asked. I gasped and nodded.
I ran over and kneeled next to Ben, who chuckled at my excitement. "I do solemnly swear." I replied. She smiled and put the tiara on my head.
"Then it is my honor and my joy to bless our new king and crowned princess!" she exclaimed and blessed us.
Suddenly, Jane grabbed the wand and shot it towards the sky. "Jane!" I screamed and ran to my brother.
"Child, what are you doing?!" Fairy Godmother cried.
"If you won't make me beautiful, I'll do it myself!" Jane yelled, struggling to keep the wand in control.
Mal ran over to Jane and grabbed the wand from her. Jane ran away and Mal held the wand tightly.
"Mal, give me the wand." Ben said and walked towards her.
"Stand back." Mal warned and held the wand tighter.
"It's okay." I chimed in and stood next to Ben.
"I said stand back!" Mal yelled, causing me to jump.
"Let's go!" Evie said as she ran up to us with Jay at her side.
"Revenge time.." Jay said through gritted teeth.
"You really want to do this?" I asked. Mal looked at me.
"We have no choice, Brea! Our parents-" Mal cried but I cut her off.
"Your parents made their choice. Now you make yours." I said calmly. After a moment of silence, she sighed.
"I think I want to be good." Mal breathed.
"You are good." Ben said.
"How do you know that?!" Mal urged.
"Because...because I'm listening to my heart." Ben replied. Mal looked down.
"I want to listen to my heart to. And my heart is telling me that we are not our parents. I mean, stealing things doesn't make you happy. Tourney and victory pizza with the team makes you happy." Mal said to Jay.
"And you, spending time with Brea and scratching Dudes belly makes you happy, who would've thought." Mal laughed as Carlos blushed.
"And Evie, you do not need to play dumb to get a guy. You are so smart," Mal said to her best friend. "And I don't want to take over the world with evil. It doesn't make me happy." Mal sighed.
"What makes you happy?" I asked and rubbed Mals back.
"I want to go to school. And be with Ben. Because Ben makes me really happy." Mal said, tears forming in her eyes. "Us being friends makes me really happy. Not destroying things. I choose good guys." Mal said and stuck her hand in the middle.
"I choose good too." Jay smiled and put his fist in the middle.
"I choose good." Evie replied and did the same as Jay. We all stared at Carlos.
"So, just to be clear, we don't have to be worried about how really mad our parents are gonna be? Because they're gonna be really, really mad." Carlos chuckled.
"You're parents can't reach you from here." I replied with a smile.
"Ok then. Good." Carlos said and put his hand in the middle with everyone else.
Suddenly, a flash of green smoke appeared. "I'm back!" a familiar voice cheered.
"It can't be.." I gasped. "Maleficent.."
