*AMANDA'S POV*

The plane almost had landed on the ground of the most densely populated of the five boroughs of New York City, Manhattan. Carrie woke me up then I saw many structural buildings from my window beside me. The sky was perfectly blue, it was morning when I just realized that I actually had a flight in the morning then I arrived in the morning again. All of a sudden, there was an annoucement from the stewardess, "Ladies and Gentleman, now we're approaching Manhattan where the local time is 9:00."

'Welcome to Manhattan Amanda'

The plane was trembled because the tire had touched the ground. The plane now running with tire with half-full speed until the plane had parked properly. I removed the seat belt and Carrie was preparing herself by giving a touch-up on her face. Then we both stood up, I saw all the passengers were trying to get out of the plane. It was pretty crowded inside of this plane.

We finally got out of the plane. I was breathing the air of Manhattan. The wind blew swiftly around me but the wind couldn't make me cold because I was wearing Jake's warm sweater. I wanted to take it off but I thought I would take it off if I had arrived in Mr. Howard's house. Carrie and I walked in to the airport, the atmosphere was getting warm because there were many people walking, talking, yelling, laughing around us.

"It's so noisy here," I muttered.

"This is New York, Amanda." answered Carrie as we kept walking across the ocean of people.

"No, this is airport." I denied and chuckled.

"Whatever you say, Amanda." she beamed at me as she rolled her eyes.

"Okay, Okay." I punched her shoulder playfully.

We waited about 5 minutes to take our suitcases appear on the baggage escalator. I noticed my big purple suitcase, I took it off the baggage escalator and put it on the trolley. Carrie was still waiting for her suitcase to show up and finally she noticed hers. She put it on the trolley and we walked out of the aiport. We looked for a space to breathe and think, then we finally found the space we were looking for.

"Where's your destination?" Carrie queried.

I checked up my phone and went to the note app. There I found Mr. Howard's address. I would home stay in Mr. Howard's house for a year. I would live there because Mrs. Howard Kate was a biology teacher in the school I would study.

"I think it's One Sutton Place North. Do you know where it is?" I asked Carrie wondered if she knew where it exactly was.

"You got  a nice place to stay at, seriously. All I know it's between First Avenue and York Avenue. I don't know where exactly it is. Why don't you call Mrs. Howard to pick you up?" She suggested as she crossed her arms.

"For Patrick's sake you saved my life, Carrie! I forgot to tell Mrs. Howard that I have arrived here." I smiled as I tried to take my phone out of my brown sling bag.

"Patrick's sake? Who's Patrick? You owe me, Amanda." she grinned

"Patrick Star? I don't know. I like saying that since middle school. I'll treat you lunch someday" I explained and smiled

I dialed Mrs. Howard's number and waited about 5 seconds for her to answer the call. She finally picked up the call,

"Hello, it's Kate Howard here?" she queried nicely.

"Good Morning, Mrs. Howard. I'm Amanda Stewart, the student exchange from Australia. I just arrived in Manhattan and I'm still in the airport at the moment." I explained shortly.

"Oh, Amanda Stewart. From Adelaide, aren't you? I'll pick you up right away. Thanks for telling me, just have some coffee at Starbucks or somewhere. I'll meet you there, are you alone or?"
