It was the first day of seventh grade, and the group of six were loving it so far. They had almost all classes together, except History that class only Spinelli and TJ had together. Things have been very awkward with Spinelli and TJ ever since the last week of sixth grade.
"So how do you guys like school so far?" Asked Gus
"Good" they all said in unison. TJ smiled at Spinelli, and she smiled back. Gretchen knew they had a thing for each other ever since they were "forced" to kiss. Once the bell rang for lunch, the group of six rushed downstairs. They bought their lunch, and sat at a table.
"So Spin TJ are you two dating? "Asked Vince. Spinelli turned as red as TJs hat. TJs eyes widened. The others laughed.
"No where're not dating" responded Spinelli
"Yup" said TJ. Mikey rolled his eyes, of course they didn't believe them but it is was true. TJ as YET to ask out Spinelli. Only Vince and Gretchen knew his plan.
"So on the other hand I really like the science teacher" said Gretchen coolly. They all nodded in agreement. After lunch they had one more class. Gus had Science, Mikey had art, Vince and Gretchen had math, and Spinelli and TJ had History. They took a seat next to each other, in the middle of the classroom.
"Hey Spin"
"Yeah"
"Wanna hang out after school?"
"Of course" she responded with a smile. He smiled back and the teacher came in. Her name is Mrs. Ruff. Class lasted for thirty minutes. After school, TJ and Spinelli left together. They headed to the nearest ice cream place they could. TJ paid for everything, Spinelli thanked him.
"So what do you want to talk about?"
"Us..." his voice trailed off. Spinelli gave him a silly smile. She walked up to him and kissed him, that was the second time their lips ever met. And that was both of theirs second kisses.
"Also do you wanna be my"
"Yes" is all she said. They hugged, and kissed one last time. They then cached up with the rest of the group, at the park. They walked hand in hand. Mikey and Gus winked. While Gretchen and Vince gave a big thumbs up.
"Told you, you could do it man" said Vince. Gretchen just smiled, at the happy couple.
"So There are two couples in this friend group fun" said Gus. Vince kissed Gretchen, and TJ kissed Spinelli, and it felt like their whole worlds were spinning.
