Ch.36

Ebele's POV

I opened my eyes to see Garroth in full armor.

"Damn it..." I said as the ground beneath us shaked.

Everyone was trying to keep their balance when Garroth pushed Laurence back. I placed my hand on Artemis and tried to calm down. Once I did, I looked ahead as One-eyed explaining about the full potential of the Jury of Nine. I felt a powerful arua next to me and turned around.

Lady Katelyn's armor become a dark blue as her eyes. She had her Gauntlets out and went into a sprinting position.

"Look what we have here," One-eyed said with a smirk." Another traitor. Garroth relinquish her of her Jury title now."

Lady Katelyn and Garroth ran towards each other and clashed their swords. In a split second, Lady Katelyn was on the ground with Garroth's blade to her neck. He pulled out an amulet and it started to glow as Lady Katelyn went back to her original form.

"You don't deserve this power..." One-eyed said as he pulled out another amulet." I know you like Jeffrey are not truly loyal to me."

"You won't get away with this, you coward!" Laurence yelled as he sat up." Come here and fight me yourself!"

"I would love to, I truly would," One-eyed said as he held the amulets up." However, with this amulet in my hands. I don't need to waste my time with the likes of you."

He looked at the amulets and closed his eyes. Then both of the amulets light up. Before anyone could do anything could do anything, we were blinded by light.

I slowly open my eyes and looked around me. Everything was still a blur when I saw someone next to me.

"Aaron?" I asked.

His attention was directed at something. I looked where he was staring and was speechless. There stood a humongous castle with a symbol in the middle.

And not just any symbol, it was Lady Irene's symbol. I looked at my surroundings and saw everyone but they were confused.

"I-i don't understand." Aphmau said as she looked at everyone.

"W-where are we?" Aaron asked.

Everyone was discussing about where to look for One-eyed while Emmalyn screamed that we should leave. We were confused why she had screamed.

"Aaron... I think I know where we are." I said as I faced him.

He looked at me and was about to ask when Emmalyn explained.

"KENMUR..." she said as she paced around." THIS IS HER PLACE... THIS IS LADY IRENE'S DIMENSION! WE NEED TO GET OUT OF HERE!"

Kenmur was confused and asked why she's so afraid. Emmalyn explained that every minute that passes here, a year will pass in our time.

Then we all heard a loud crack or thunder. I looked back at the giant castle.

"I'm sorry but..." Aaron said." This is our one chance to stop Zane. I'm afraid this opportunity is too good to pass up."

Laurence agreed with Aaron as Lady Katelyn explained her theory.

"If we're able to stop him here or even allow 100 years to pass... we can better the world either way. I'm in."

Then Emmalyn screamed that they were crazy.

"IF ZANE GETS IRENE'S RELIC HE'LL DO MORE THAN JUST STAY HERE! KENMUR WE NEED TO GET OUT OF HERE!"

Then Emmalyn started to run off while Kenmur chased after her. I stared at Aaron as he faced the giant castle. Then I started to feel something on my shoulders.

I couldn't see what it was but I felt another presence around me.

"Come on... let's make a deal."

No, I don't want to. "

"Would you at least hear me out?"

"No."

Then the presence I felt disappeared. I took a breath I didn't need and stood straight up. I looked back at Aaron as everyone was facing the castle.

He looked me in the eye and nodded. I nodded as we all headed into the castle. As we ran into the castle, I felt three presence ahead of us.

But there was also something that felt powerful and... familiar. Finally we entered a room that had a set of stairs, with a fountain in between, that lead to a relic. Garroth, Lillian and One-eyed were already there as One-eyed reached for the relic.

"Finally... it's mine!" He said." Irene's relic, with this added to my strength I will-"

Then a bright light appeared from the relic and was transported in front of Aphmau. She gasped as the relic is absorbed into her. One-eyed was freaking out, saying that she can't be her.

As he screamed out his anger he started to turn black. Eventually he wasn't human any more, a demon or shadow is what I would call him now.

"Ripping you apart is something I've wanted to do for so long..." One-eyed said as his voice turned demonic." It's a shame you have to die really. We could have been something special together.

"You know that would never happen!" Aphmau yelled.

Then Garroth and Lillian ran down the stairs, heading to Aphmau. Laurence and Lady Katelyn were able to stop them and One-eyed jumped down. He charged at Aphmau and was about to strike her when Aaron blocked it.

"You..." One-eyed said as he realized who Aaron was.

"You won't get out of here this time!" Aaron yelled.

One-eyed just laughed as he did that day, when I lost my body.

"Funny, I was about to say that to you as well," One-eyed said as he smirked evilly." By the way, how is the women with teal hair. I didn't have enough time to stick around to see what happened."

"None of your concern." Aaron said as  I felt anger.

"Oh but it is," One-eyed said." You see, that was my first time using that so I wouldn't know what would have happened to that women."

"You!" Aaron yelled.

"I was just curious anyway. It wasn't like she was important to you, right."

I raised my hand out and concentrated on what I wanted. The ground shook as I  One-eyed lost his balance. Then I felt a sharp pain in my chest and the ground stood still.

The pain was so unbearable that I fell to my knees. I don't know why but I felt like I can't breath and I didn't need to breath. I grabbed my chest and stopped.

I felt something pounding in my chest.

"My... heart?" I said confused as I looked up.

Aaron was on the ground as One-eyed  raised his blade at Aphmau. I reached my hand out as time seemed to stop. Garroth had blocked One-eyed's sword.

As the brothers argued, a portal appeared with a women in front. At some point in time, Emmalyn and Kenmur arrived and went through the port. Out of the corner of my eye I saw Aaron stood up.

Then slowly the beating in my chest stopped. I went to Aaron's side and walked with him. My hand never left my chest as I still felt the sensation of my heart beating.
