When the notorious Kronos gets bored in reigning his dominion, he begins to think of ways to cause chaos in the world. Just for fun! He unleashes a dragon from one of the Pandora Boxes, which seems to love snacks such as stone, gods, mortals... almost anything that it can grasp.
After the dragon gulped down the entire pantheon where Kronos stored his scythe, Kronos becomes the laughing stock of the Gods. The scythe is the source of power that makes him savage and spiteful. Without it, he is nothing but a lame being, courteous and complaisant. Imagine a lion that has been scrapped off its dignity, which has now become a kitten that doesn't even have a toy to play with. He feels that humiliation!
To make matters worse, four children, unfortunate and inexperienced, are chosen by the Olympians. They are tossed into the worlds they could only imagine, chasing after the scythe that can't seem to stay put.
