- - - - -I pushed my headphones into my ears as I made my way towards the bleachers. It was my free period now and without a car, it's very limited to where I can go. I took a seat on top of the baseball bleachers and began to rummage through my bag for my math homework. I guess I should do something productive while I have the chance.
I looked down at the printed out problems for a while. I sighed before shoving the paper back into my bag.
There goes me doing something productive.
"Danielle!" I heard someone yell.
I looked over and saw Hunter running up towards me. Great.
"What do you want Sanchez?" I say his last name rudely. I knew he would come back to Riverside high school, I just hoped I didn't run into him. Or worse, Grace run into him. She's just barely been able to forget about that traumatizing experience.
"I wanna become friends again," he tells me, taking a seat really, really close to me.
I scoot away from him. "Go become friends with somebody else."
"Don't act like that Dani," he says softly. "You're not a mean person."
He scooted closer to me again. I felt my arm from goosebumps. Hunter has some evil plan written up somewhere. It doesn't help that he somehow manages to get whatever he wants. No matter what it is.
"I became rude when you tried hurting Grace," I glare. He chuckled a bit.
"I didn't mean to, she was just too prude."
You're so selfish.
"Hunter its best that you don't talk to me." I stood up and began to walk away.
Hunter stood up too and grabbed my wrist. Twisting it hard forcing me to face him. I wanted to cry out but I force myself not to. I could feel his grip tightening. I didn't know what to do. What could I do?
"Hunter...please let go," I beg.
"I know there's another side of you Danielle. Somewhere deep down you want me." He tells me.
"Why would I want someone like you?" I say. His grip tightened.
He pulled me in closer to him. He only thought for himself, nothing else. I don't wanna know what he's gonna do to me. How he's gonna hurt me.
"Hunter, please stop," I say to him.
"I'll never stop Danielle. I always get what I want and you know that." He leaned in forcing his lips on mine.
I struggled to push him off me, he was too strong for me.
"Get off her!" I heard Ashton scream.
I felt Hunter let go of my wrist and watched him fall to the cement ground as Ashton pushed him off me. I have never felt so happy to see Ashton in my life. I held my wrist while Hunter stumbled to his feet.
"What the hell!" Hunter was steady on his feet now, looking at Ashton directly in the eyes.
"You don't lay a finger on her," Ashton explained.
"Or what?" Hunter taunted. "Her little boyfriend going to beat me up?"
I saw Ashton form a fist. He swung it at Hunter's face, hitting him perfectly in the jaw. Hunter held the spot where he was hit, he has never been punched before.
