Marcus felt the slight nudge and couldn't help but feel a course of warmth and shock rushing through his body. She trusted him with her life and he wasn't going to fail her. His determination increased as his thoughts raced with Valerie's survival.
He wouldn't let her die again because of him or the SilverMoon pack.
Not again.
Marcus watched as the wolves closed in with Collin and Hunter standing behind them. Collin watching with a twisted grin of victory plastered on his face, his amber eyes lighting up almost appearing demonic. He had his arms crossed over his chest. He was confident that he will come out victorious in the end.
Marcus was going to wipe that damn grin off his fucking face.
Hunter had an arrow aimed at Valerie, her weaken state making it easier for him to hit her. His cold black eyes narrowed at his prey. A few strands of brown hair escaped from the low ponytail he had it in.
Marcus' eyes narrowed at the archer next to Collin and knew that he had to take the bastard down first before he could shoot another arrow that might find the target. Then he saw Valerie's dagger glinting on the grown between two of the wolves. If he could get to that than maybe he could kill the bastard, or at least disable him from using his bow.
All seven wolves pounced at the same time, aiming straight for him and Valerie. Their fangs sharp and ready to tear through anything. Marcus was ready when three of the wolves landed on him.
“Valerie jump back!” He shouted out in time before he grabbed two of the wolves throats and slammed their heads together, getting whimpers from both of them. Then he turned his attention to the 3 wolves circling him.

Valerie jumped back in time away from the invisible enemies that she knew would have crushed her if she didn't move. She growled menacingly at the bastards.
“Valerie to your left!”
She turned her head swiftly and locked her jaws against the throat of the male wolf and crunched down. Feeling the bones break from the force of her jaw muscles. She dropped the asshole and jumped out of the way of another wolf at the command of Marcus.
Her legs were wobbling when she landed but she kept her ground. Even as her life blood sprayed against the forest floor. The smell of her blood and the blood of others mingled themselves strongly and filled the forest.
“Damn it Valerie, to your right!”
She twisted her jaws around and missed the wolf's neck, almost getting him.
Valerie twisted, dodged, turned, and maneuvered around the wolves, listening to Marcus' commands. Being smaller than the other wolves, she was more agile than them but she was also deeply injured making it harder for her to move with the agility she was used to.
