The next morning, Nate was woken up by Matt turning on the lights. Nate groaned and covered his eyes.

"Stephanie's going to be home in about half an hour," Matt said. "Unless you want to meet her in your underwear, you should get dressed."

This motivated Nate to get up and dressed. He wore the black pants, blue shirt, blue Velcro shoes, and the black-and-yellow baseball cap backwards. When there were about five minutes left before Stephanie was supposed to arrive, Matt turned to Nate.

"Can I hold you?" Matt asked.

"Y-yeah, sure," Nate was nervous. Matt cupped his hands together and let Nate step on.

The door opened, and Stephanie came in.

"Hey Steph," Matt carefully hugged and kissed Steph while still holding Nate in his right hand.

"Hi Matt," Steph said as she took off her shoes. She bent down to see Nate sitting in Matt's hands.

"Hi. You must be Nate!" Steph said. Nate nodded as the three moved to the couch.

"Can I hold you?" Steph asked. Nate quickly shook his head no, with a scared expression on his face.

"Okay," Steph held her hands up, jokingly offended.

"What did you guys do yesterday?" Matt decided to see if Nate would say anything. After a moment Matt answered.

"We went to a Tiny furniture store and Nate picked out some stuff." Nate smiled again at either the memory or Matt speaking for him.

"Yeah, we did," Nate said.

"Hey, you didn't stutter! High five!" Matt said, putting up a hand before deciding on just his pointer finger. Nate high fived it with both hands.

"Why didn't you give him a clap and a half?"

"Stephanie, he's in my hands. Clapping is the worst possible decision."

"Oh, yeah."

"What's a clap and a half?" Nate asked.

"It's where you clap, and the start to clap again but stop halfway," Steph showed him, giving Nate a clap and a half.

"Oh, like-" Nate looked at his own hands. He clapped twice. "No..." he mumbled. The humans watched as Nate tried to do a clap and a half.

"It's okay, Nate," Stephanie laughed.

"No, I can do this!"

"Trying to do a clap and a half fills Nate with deterrrmination!" Matt laughed at the Undertale reference Steph made.

"What's so funny?"

"There's this game called Undertale and one of the things the text always says is something fills you with deterrrmination," Steph said in the same voice.

"Well, I am determined to-" Nate started the half and then quickly stopped right before his hands touched. "I did it!"

"Yeah, good job!"

"Now what?"

"Want to show me that furniture Matt said you got?"

"Okay," Nate got off Matt's hands, carefully got down from the couch, and then ran down the hall to the bedroom.

Nate looked at the dresser he was needing to climb. He jumped and grabbed the handle on the bottom drawer, and then stood up on the inch of width on top. He repeated this until he got up to the top of the dresser and then casually walked over to his room as the humans came in.

"How did you do that?" Matt asked.

"You thought I wouldn't know how to climb?"

"Not that quickly!" Stephanie laughed.

"Here it is!" Nate showed Stephanie his room.

"It's all so...tiny!" Stephanie said.

"Great adjective, Steph," Matt said. Nate laughed.

"Oh, I almost forgot! Nate, I got you a present," Stephanie got a tiny wrapped box out of her pocket.

"What is it?" Nate was excited. Steph handed it to him. He unwrapped it and there was a sketchbook, at Tiny size, and a bunch of pencil crayons.

"Thanks, but um, I'm not that good at drawing...but thanks," Nate smiled.
