I used to think I was
In love. I used to
Think I knew what
That was. Then I realized
A few things.
I was much too
Young to truly know
What love was.
I was only fourteen,
But I thought I
Knew. I couldn't have
Been more wrong.
It was a lie. I
Didn't love him. I
Was only infatuated
With the idea of
Him.
I didn't realize that
At the time, and
Only dug myself deeper
Into the hole.
I thought I was in
Love.
Little did I know how
I could never be.
