Third Person POV
"THE QUEEN HAS ARRIVED!"
This shout grabbed Tae-Suk's attention, which he immediately turned his head to where the shout was coming from.
He saw a gama (Korean palanquin) the windows were closed so he had doubts if the Queen was the one inside.
"Pay your respects!" The guard shouted as he was mounted on the horse.
Everyone stopped what they were doing and crowded on both sides of the path where the Queen would go through.
"Bow down. Don't look at the Queen's gama." Jin-suk whispered to Suk-Ho.
"But-" Suk-Ho whined in annoyance.
"You should. You can't look at the Queen like that." and he forced Suk-Ho to turn his head down by using his hand.
Everyone had their heads bowed down as the Queen's gama passed. The convoy didn't only consist of the Queen, though. The Ministers were also walking behind the Queen's gama.
Tae-Suk waved at his so called father; he did look but he didn't do anything, as it is rude because of the Queen's presence.
Once the royal convoy has passed, everyone went back to their respective places. The Ministers and the Queen had a special platform for them to stay in. There was chairs prepared for the ministers and the Queen had a special chair - embroidered with silk. Almost a throne.
The Doctors also had their own desks, while the Hwarangs had their tents just near to the Doctors to ensure security. The Queen and her ministers had their own security, the imperial guards.
After a while, the Queen finally stood up from her seat and gave a speech.
Everyone also stood up to respect the Queen.
"People of Silla, welcome. This event is for you. Let us cure all of your sickness!" She said in encouragement. Of course, everyone knew this was one of her tricks to gain support in the capital.
As she sat, everyone sat, too.
"What is she trying to do?" Kuk-jung whispered.
"There are rumors that she might launch an attack on the palace, overthrowing the King. She'll start a civil war, if she suceeds in winning the hearts of the people." Jun-nam replied in a low toned voice. He wanted no one to hear because if someone did, those badmouthing the royalty will be punished.
"But I thought she created Hwarang for the King?" Suk-ho asked, keeping it on a whisper.
"No. She just wants to use Hwarang to control the ministers. Our fathers would try to protect us by following her demands." Jun-nam replied.
"So who is our master then?" Tae-suk asked in curiosity.
"His majesty." Jin-suk butted in.
"Yes, since it is the Hwarang's reason of existence, anyway." Jun-nam supported the oldest's statement.
The mood suddenly became serious in these group of seven men. Everyone became silent until Ji-ahn went inside of their tent and called Tae-Suk.
"Tae-suk! Can you help me give out the medicines? I have finished diagnosing some people and I need to give them their medications."
"You mean pills?" Tae-suk asked
"Pills? What are those, you silly? We're giving out herbal medicine." Ji-ahn laughed at his answer, because she didn't know what even pills are.
*Oh dammit. I forgot. I'm in Silla.* Tae-suk mentally facepalmed himself.
Tae-suk replied with an awkward chuckle and nodded.
"Go help your wife." Min-ji teased him.
"Soon..." Tae-suk replied, making everyone laugh.
Fortunately, Ji Ahn didn't hear because their voices were pretty soft.
"By the way, there's a festival later at the center of town. You should bring her." Gi-yun suggested.
"I'll try, she isn't easy." Tae-suk replied. He left the tent and immediately went for Ji-ahn's desk.
"So what will I do?" He asked.
"Just give out what I will say."
"But I don't know any herbal medicine, Ji Ahn." Tae-suk whined.
"There are names over there, silly. Are you an alien to not read them?"
"Oh." He replied in embarrassment, while looking at the herbs' names.
After a while, he started to give out the herbs that Ji-ahn asked. It wasn't really easy since there were a lot. But it was kind of easy too, since the shelves were just at the back of her desk.
"By the way, would you like to go to the festival later?"
"Sure. I was planning to go there too anyway, once we finish." She turned her head and smiled, her bright smile never fails to make others smile.
