Chapter one: Dreams Or Reality.
"Ally!" was all I heard, like someone was calling out to me. Like someone knew that I was listening. I couldn't respond, though. It felt like my lips were sealed shut and all I could do was scream in my mind.
I wanted to ask who was calling out to me. Was it my best friend, my boyfriend? Although, the voice didn't sound like it was coming from either of them. So, who could it be?
The voice sounded sinister and evil, like in those horror movies where the killer plays tricks on his victims. So, why did I think it was someone I knew?
I sometimes get stuck between reality and dreams. Until someone wakes me up and I remember that it was all in my head from the start.

"Ally!" I heard someone yell. Someone nudges me, it hurts and then I felt annoyed. I moaned loudly and I realised that I have a class today that starts early. "Hurry up!" I open one eye and the room is so bright that it's almost blinding. I see her smiling face, her cute dimples on her cheeks and her blond hair that is perfectly straight.
"Good, you're up." I see my roommate and my best friend, Beth Young who stood in front of me. I moaned again in annoyance as she left the room in a happy manner.
Why was she so happy? It's Monday.
"Come on!" I heard her voice echo as she was in the kitchen, probably making breakfast for herself before her class starts.
I forced myself up and headed towards the bathroom for a shower. Our small apartment is just on the main street in New York City, it's two bedrooms with a kitchen and a living room combined. We also have a piano in the corner of the living room because Beth insisted that I let her have one.
Beth and myself have been best friends since high school we have been close ever since. Our dream was to get an apartment together and well, here we were.
Beth studied Music at the college we attend as she plays piano and sings. And wow, she can sing. As for me, I'm ordinary. I studied English at our College. I was not that pretty but Beth always complemented me, I have brown longish hair with an awesome American accent.
Once I've finished my shower, I got dressed, apply a bit of makeup and I head into the kitchen.
"Breakfast?" Beth asked, a joyful smile on her face.
"No thanks, I'm fine." I faintly smiled as I'm still half asleep. The shower didn't exactly wake me up liked I hoped it would.
Beth started to laugh. "I heard you talking in your sleep last night."
I gave her a confused look. "What did I say?" I asked while scratching my head.
She laughed again "Firstly, you were kicking and moving around in your bed. I came into your bedroom." She paused to think. "You said something about being trapped and you couldn't get out."
"Strange." I commented. I couldn't remember what I dreamt of last night and I tried my hardest to remember but being trapped didn't ring a bell.
A loud knock echoed throughout our apartment. We suddenly jumped at the knock and my heart was beating faster than ever until I realised that it was just somebody at the door. "I'll get it." I smiled while leaving the kitchen to answer it.
I opened the door swiftly and looked at the person who was at the door. "Tyler, hey!" I smiled. "Beth our ride is here!" I yelled as I let him inside.
"You mean my boyfriend who failed to call me last night?" Beth poked her head around the corner with a glare that could've killed Tyler the minute he walked in.
