Chapter three: Fear.
I got myself on my feet while my lips are trembling and tears are about to flow out of my eyes. I knew this was real, I wasn't dreaming this time. My eyes start to clear up as I saw the man that haunts my dreams staring down at me with an evil looking smile.
"Don't be afraid, dear Ally." His voice sounded deep and scary like he was about to tell me off for doing something bad. But, what had I done?
"What do-" I paused and tried to breathe. I couldn't contain my fear and I didn't want to give him the satisfaction of scaring me.
"What do I want?" He finished off for me and I nodded looking back up at him. "I want you, and only you." He smirked as I backed up against the wall.
"This is a dream." I repeated to myself over and over. "This is a dream. This isn't real." I kept telling myself that because maybe I would believe it and maybe it would be.
"Oh, but it's not." He reassured me in a nasty way. I shivered at his words, not wanting to hear his voice again.
"I'm not worth anything to you." I whispered as more tears flow out of my eyes, like a waterfall and they are hot as they drop down my cheek and onto my shirt.
"But you're worth everything, Ally." He paused while smirking. "You'll be mine one day, Ally Taylor." And with those words stuck inside my head, he disappeared into a cloud of black smoke.
The sound of the elevator dinged and it startled me. I wiped my eyes and slowly walked out and I recognised the hallway, I'm on the eighth floor. I sighed as my knees felt weak, I hold onto the wall and collapsed onto the ground.
Was was happening to me? I trembled trying to find my house keys in my pocket but it was no use. I was so much in shock, I couldn't move. I did manage to get my phone out to check for messages. I saw the time and it's already past four in the afternoon.
How could that be? It was almost eleven in the morning when I finished breakfast with Ethan. I heard a ding of the elevator and I turned my head to see who's coming to this floor. I heard footsteps and looked down, I see black shoes enter the floor. I was terrified that he'd come back to finish the job.
"Ally?" I heard a familiar voice. "Are you okay?" Ethan rushed over to see that I am shaking and in a bad way. Why? I couldn't tell him.
"I'm fine." I replied as he helped me up from the red carpet that goes through the eighth floor. I held onto him as he got my keys and unlocked the door. He helped me in and I glanced up to see that Beth had returned home. Well, of course she had. Five hours were missing from this day.
"Where the heck were you?" She asked in an angry tone as she turned around but she instantly froze in place when she saw me.
"Are you okay?" She asked as Ethan was bringing me over to the couch. "You're acting strange."
"Beth!" Ethan exclaimed.
"Stop yelling." I said as I placed my hand onto my head as I have a screaming headache. Maybe whoever was in the elevator did this to me. I felt so weak and I hated feeling that way.
"Oh, sorry, baby." Ethan whispered in a calmer tone.
"Don't expect me to fall for your crap, Ally! You missed my performance, there's no making up for that." Beth yelled from the kitchen but, I ignored her while Ethan gave her a nasty look.
"What happened?" He asked me and I knew exactly what happened but I'm not going to tell him because it's hard to believe. "Ally?" He asked again.
I sighed. "I-I can't remember." I lied, hoping that he would believe me.
