Chapter 2

I'm only a few minutes late, I can still make it if I run! I switch gears and sprint, full speed ahead towards the ominous double doors that lead into the school.

It was an old building that looked scarily like Hogwarts, but, you know, without the towers and mass of water surrounding it (although I think there was a duck pond round here somewhere...). There weren't many people left outside. They'd all gone to their lessons so as not to face the wrath of their teachers.

There was no one around so I didn't dare stop running. I pushed past the doors with ease only to collide with an unsuspecting mortal in truely stupendous style. We collapsed in a heap in the middle of the deserted corridor. There was a second of awkward silence as I had managed to land on top of the poor fellow but as soon as I was no longer refraining him from moving and I helped him to his feet we burst into simultaneous laughter.

"Hi, sorry about that; I didn't fancy being late on my first day though!" I said cheerily," I'm Hades by the way."

"Its fine. You can fall on me anytime!" He said arrogantly,"I'm Rhydian. How about I give you a tip seeing as it's your first day - try not to burn the school down." And with that he strode off down the corridor, with his styled blonde hair and his twinkling blue eyes, like he didn't have a care in the world.

How did he know! I got kicked out of my last school, well the remains of it, after an incident where my ADHD caused me to get into a bit of a fight with a narcissistic pea brain and coinsidentally set building on fire. That's what we tell peole anyway, funnily enough no one believed that I'd been fighting with a 5 headed, fire breathing Hydra! They thought I was crazy, that I was off my meds. I was, but thats not the point!

I decided to follow this guy and find out what else he knows about me. Turns out he was waiting for me just round the corner. He grabbed my arm and leaned in so he could whisper in my ear,"Hydra, right? I know a whole lot more, more than you might ever know about what has really been happening to you. Interested? Then follow me."

Now I really had to follow him. He might know something about my parents, my real parents. Who cared about maths anyway? It's all trangles in the end!
