Zachary
Its been a few days since I've seen Sage. No one has seen Caleb for days, which is good but lessens my chances of seeing her.
Sage made a new friend and has been hanging around her a lot. I'm happy that Sage is really happy but the more days I don't see her, the more my chest hurts.
I head over to my parents' room to ask my mom about it, but only find my dad inside. When he notices me, he smiles and gestures me to sit down.
"Hey Dad, have you seen mom? I wanted to ask her about something."
"She went to hunt with the little ones and won't be back for a while. We can talk about it though, unless it's about you being gay cause you don't want to hear from me." I laugh and sigh.
"I don't know what's going on with me. My body hasn't the same lately since I've met Sage. I wanted to prove you wrong but I don't what's happening anymore. I haven't been myself. "
"Actually Zachary, you did prove me wrong! That change you went through was you unlocking your true potential."
My true potential....so that's what happened! I didn't think I'd unlock it so quickly. The others are gonna be so jealous when they find out.
"If it wasn't for that Sage girl, you wouldn't have unlocked it!"
"Wow, but what about that weird feeling I've been feeling? What does that mean?"
"I remember the times I got those feelings. When I was around your mom, they were there. When she wasn't , they were there. And when we..."
"Ok ok dad, what's your point?" There was no way I was gonna let him finish that sentence. He places his hand on my shoulder and smiles at me.
"You'll just have to find out on your own, son." He says as he walks out the room, smirking.
"Dad, wait!"
I give up looking for him after 2 hours and head to Xavier to see what he'll know.
I find him in his room with two different girls under his arms and when he sees me at his doorway, he walks up to me.
"What's up, Zachary? Kind of busy right now."
"Well I didn't know you had company, I just needed to talk to you about something." He hesitates at first, but gestures the girls to leave. They cheerfully wave goodbye as if they were in a trance. "Someone's been playing with Mom's books I see."
"I just need them to forget our house once they leave. Those hotties came here willingly. They can't resist the X-man." I look in confusion and he sighs in response.
"Oh clueless Zachary! Your mind is still in the innocent mode. And you're gonna be 17 soon, what has Dad done to you!" I growl at his remark about me being isolated. "Oh yea, that's why."
"I'm sorry Xavier, if I could I'd be a lot more smarter in that area. But I just can't control it."
"Well my young brother, if you want that Sage girl you better learn. Cause I could easily just..." I begin to grow angry out of nowhere but Xavier grabs my shoulder and nods his head. "You see, that's NOT what you're gonna do. Learn to control yourself and Sage will be all yours.
My cheeks begin to feel hot and for the first time I realize what it means.
I like Sage.
