The sun was already shining bright when Niall woke up the next day. It was their third day in France and their plan for today was to go to the beach and to maybe find some new friends. Niall unwrapped his arms from a still sleeping Harry and stepped out of bed. He zipped the tent open and saw that nobody was away yet. He stretched and let out a tiny yawn. It was about 10 o'clock in the morning so the little bakery around the corner was already open. He pulled on a few pieces of clothing to look decent and made his way to the little shop.
He bought bread and a few crossaints and walked back, juggling the food in his hands. When he arrived he noticed that Eleanor was already up and sitting on one of the chairs, sipping at a mug of tea and enjoying the sun rays on her face.
''Hey, El,'' Niall put the food on the table as he greeted her. She turned her head to look at him and smiled.
''Hey, Harry was looking for you,'' she said, shaking her head. ''He said you might've gotten lost on your way to the toilet so he went there in the hope that he would find you there, that idiot.''
Niall laughed. ''I'll go get him.''
He smiled as he walked in the direction of the toilet building. Harry could be so worried about everything sometimes. When they just started dating Niall had left him once while Harry was still sleeping. Harry woke up without Niall by his side and immediately jumped into conclusions and thought Niall had left him for good. Harry had called him almost in tears and had begged Niall to come back. Niall had rushed over to Harry's dorm and shushed him, told him that he wouldn't leave like that ever again. For Harry it was an embarressing memorie but Niall liked to think about the way Harry had clung to him like he would've disappeared any moment.
The was a few meters away from the building when Harry ran out and nearly crushed Niall by bumping into him.
''Niall? Where were you?'' Harry asked, very obviously trying to hide the concern in his voice.
''I went to buy some breakfast,'' Niall explained, pulling Harry in a hug, knowing that Harry needed it.
''Oh,'' Harry mumbled as he snaked his arms round Niall's neck.
''C'mon, let's go eat something,'' Niall tugged himself out of Harry's embrace and took his hand instead.
''Yeah,'' Harry blushed for no reason, but Niall assumed that it was because he felt embarressed about stressing out over nothing.
They walked back and sat down at the table that was already set and ate together. Niall and Harry did the dishes this time and after showering and packing some stuff, they were ready to go to the beach. They piled into the car and took off, Liam's nose buried into the map while Louis drove.
Niall bumped Harry's shoulder and patted his knee. "Why are you looking so serieus today?"
Harry only shrugged in response. He obviously didn't want to tell Niall what was bothering him or maybe he just didn't want to say it when the others could hear him too. Niall leaned in close and pressed his lips against Harry's ear.
"Did I do anything to upset you?" he whispered carefully.
Harry's head shot up and he immediately started to vigorously shake his head. He pressed a kiss to Niall's lips to make sure Niall knew that he wasn't upset with him.
"I'm afraid," Harry whispered, holding Niall's head to whisper in his ear.
"For what?" Niall wishered back, furrowing his eyebrows in confusing.
"What if people don't accept us here?" Harry was quick to make eyecontact with Niall, trying to read his expression. He saw nothing but confusion.
"I don't understand what you mean, love," Niall softly stroke Harry's cheek and gave him a reassuring smile.
