After my little cry fest, I didn't go to school. My face was still red and puffy, and I didn't feel like answering peoples questions on what's wrong or why were you crying. I just stayed home and watched TV all day.

Some friends texted me and just assumed that I was sick because I'm always at school. I'm, of course, a perfect attendance freak. I got the obvious messages: I'll tell the teacher's that your out sick. I'll get your classwork and homework. Get well.

I smile a little, happy to have such predictable friends. I turn off my phone and wait for the large cheese pizza that I ordered a while ago. Bored from just watching TV, I decide to play on my dads Xbox. On weekends we usually play the usual boy games like Call of Duty, GTA, and etc. By the time I sit back down with the controller in my hand, someone knocks on door. I groan and fling my head back. I get up and grab the $20 that dad left on the counter for me. I open the door and see Jace. Completely surprised I drop the money in my hand and just stare at him.

Why did you drop it? Now he knows that he affected you. Real smart, Kira.

"What are you doing here?", I ask attempting to cover my exposed legs. I'm wearing really, really, REALLY short shorts. I never dressed like this in front of Jace so I was a little uncomfortable in front of him.

He noticed my arms and grinned a little. That grin, oh so adorable on him. No, stop it! You're supposed to be mad at him.

He is just looking at me. The silence is just killing me, so I step back and close the door in his face. I'm about to walk back the couch when I realize I left the money on the ground. I groan at my idiotic actions and open the door again to see Jace, still standing there, with the $20 in his hand. Smirking at me. I reach for the bill, but Jace moves his hand back. I reach again and he does the same thing. Then I realize that our faces are so close that I can smell his breath. His minty breath. I step back and cross my arms.

"What do you want?", I ask hoping to actually get an answer this time.

"You", is all he says. He steps forward a little. Our stare session is interrupted when the pizza delivery guy walks up behind Jace.

"One large cheese pizza for a Kira."

I dont look at the delivery guy. I'm still stuck on Jace. Jace hands the $20 to the guy and we both say at the same time:

"Keep the change." I smile from our actions and look down. Once the delivery guy is gone, Jace turns back around.

"This is some big pizza. You need some help finishing it?"

All I do is nod and he walks in with me.
