Quick A/N: Hello! Welcome to my new story. Disclaimer, I own nothing. I'm just an inspired author. Stranger Things never happened in this story, though. This is kinda a Soulmate AU, but the tattoos on their wrists says how long one's soulmate has left to live. So, if this pegs your interest, go on and read. Enjoy, loves!
Deep breathes, big smile, her mother had told her. Millie smiled to herself as the car rolled to a stop. She was nervous, of course, which was normal. But she was excited, nevertheless.
Today, she was finally going to meet her cast mates. The directors wanted a surprise, something for the cast to look forward. Millie was definitely looking forward to meeting the people she'd be spending the next few months with.
Millie briefly looked down at the tattoo on her wrist. Seventy years, it read. She smiled. She had at least seventy years to find and get to know her soulmate.
It'd been weeks since she'd been told she'd gotten the part of Sophie in her next movie project titled Deserted. Her curiosity had grown tremendously and she could hardly contain her ever growing excitement.
Millie threw open the car door, much to her mother's amusement.
"Don't throw the door off its hinges, now." Her mother said with chuckle.
Mrs. Brown stepped out of the car, her daughter nearly sprinting twenty feet ahead of her.
"Millie, wait up, honey!" Her mother called, snickering as she slung her purse over her shoulder.
Millie stopped once she reached the door, her hand shaking as it hovered over the handle.
She took a deep, steadying breath. Her mother walked up behind her.
"Go on, Millie, you've been looking forward to this for weeks, now." Her mother rubbed her shoulder reassuringly.
Millie looked back at her, staring for a moment.
About ten seconds later, Millie exhaled, nodding with a small smile on her lips.
After a deep inhale, Millie turned back to the door, placing her hand on the handle and pulling on it.
When Millie stepped into the building, it felt like all eyes were on her. She felt her cheeks turn a light red as she smiled.
"Hey, Millie!" Mark, the director, walked up to greet her with a hug, to which Millie returned.
"Oh my gosh, Millie?!" Millie turned her head to see one of her best friends running up to her.
"Noah!" She said excitedly, speed walking to meet him.
They embraced tightly, laughing and smiling.
"How've you been, Millie?" Noah asked once they separated.
"Pretty good. I've landed a part in the Godzilla sequel, but shooting doesn't begin for a while." Millie said.
"No way! Godzilla?!" Noah exclaimed excitedly.
Millie shushed him playfully, giggling in between.
"Anyways, how long does your soulmate have, Mills?" Noah asked curiously. "Have you found them, yet?"
