New chapter! I hope you guys are enjoying this so far. I'm a horrible writer, but I hope it's okay.
Alright, let's get this started!
"Dude, I can't believe my mom actually said yes!" Gaten exclaimed to Caleb and Finn as they loaded their luggage into Finn's mom's car.
"Yeah." Caleb agreed as he shut the trunk.
"Like, aren't we planning to travel across the country or something?" Gaten asked Finn as he slipped into the backseat.
He wouldn't have given up the seat, he had actually lost a coin toss to Caleb about who was riding shotgun.
"I wouldn't exactly say we're planning it." Finn mumbled as he buckled into his seat. "We plan to go until we find her."
"Are you sure that's her, though? The Millie Bobby Brown?" Caleb asked, peeking over at Finn as he started the car.
"Yes." Finn answered shortly as they backed out of the driveway.
"How can you tell?" Caleb continued as Gaten leaned up from the backseat to listen in on their conversation.
"I just can." Finn replied, looking left and right for incoming traffic before he turned out of the neighborhood. "Like I can just feel a connection."
"That might've just been the tacos you ate last night." Caleb said as he quirked an eyebrow.
"Caleb, I'm-"
"No, no." Gaten cut off Finn's response. "I believe you, Finn. My dad said he got the same feeling when he saw my mom for the first time."
"If you two say so..." Caleb trailed off as he turned his head towards the window. "Where are we going first?"
"I don't really know." Finn responded, keeping his eyes trained on the road. "That news report didn't really give any hints or anything."
"I have something that might help." Gaten piped up, pulling out his phone. "Local News Updates usually only goes around the states surrounding California for reports."
"So that narrows it down to California, Oregon, Arizona, and Nevada." Caleb said, looking at Gaten's phone as he shoved it into his face.
"We'll start with the closest one." Finn said. "We're going to Oregon."

"She seems to be doing better." Natalia said as she entered Millie's hospital room, Winona and Noah trailing behind her.
There, laying on a bed in the middle of the room in a white hospital gown, buzzing machines surrounding her, was Millie, hooked up to an iv, a heart monitor, and a cannula hooked around her head, currently giving more oxygen to her unconscious form.
"What do you mean 'better'?" Sadie asked Natalia as she peered up at her from behind her ginger locks. "She still isn't up."
"Well, it will take time for her to recover." Natalia said as she picked up the clipboard at the end of Millie's bed, observing the notes previously taken.
"Her vitals seem to be fine right now." Natalia said as she looked at the monitors buzzing around Millie, recording new notes. "She should be up in the next twenty-four hours."
"And if not?" Noah spoke quietly as Winona took Millie's hand in her own.
"If not, we'll run another scan on her to see if we can find anything that might be preventing her from waking." Natalia explained with a sigh. "Right now, such procedures aren't necessary."
