Allele and Iris laid in bed with Allele skimming through TV channels and Iris with her back to him. It was now afternoon, the time Allele and Cilia were suppose to be heading out to New Jersey, but Iris claimed whatever little sickness Allele had the other day, he passed to her and ten times worse, so it resulted in Allele cancelling the trip.
Allele wasn't really annoyed, because if Iris was sick that was something that she couldn't help. If anything, it was just how things worked. As soon as one person wasn't sick anymore, it was passed on to someone else. It was nothing but nature.
Cilia had left the apartment since yesterday and hadn't come back yet; Allele assumed she was at one of her little female friend's house, still upset with him for making her break up with her little boyfriend and probably still didn't want to see him as of yet. So he called her early in the morning and told her about Iris not feeling well and that they would have to cancel the Casino stint. She never responded but he knew she got the message.
Sighing, Allele settled on the news, coming up on a story about a terrorist in the mall killing hundreds of people with a military machine gun. Live footage of a mall in Ohio of the SWAT team rushing in could be shown along with ambulances carrying the injured out on stretchers. Apparently the man hadn't been caught yet.
Iris frowned, her index finger making small circles on the mattress as she subconsciously listened to the TV in the background. She was starting to feel so bad that it was eating away at her. She wasn't actually sick. There was absolutely nothing wrong with her. She lied about not feeling well in order to get Allele and Cilia to stay home. She knew it was selfish on her part, but at the time she started to think about them leaving and didn't want them to go anymore.
Yesterday on her way to the supermarket to get something for Allele's stomach pains, she got a phone call from Gail. It was a normal check up phone call most friends did, so Iris excited, brought up the fact Cilia and Allele were going on a game show. Gail also shocked and excited began asking questions and once she found out it was not airing on TV, she became suspicious. Iris tried to inform her not all people who participated in things like that ended up on television and Gail agreed, but she said their story was still strange. Iris kept brushing her off but Gail insisted that she should tell Allele he couldn't go.
Iris ended the call telling Gail that she trusted them and everything was not as it seemed; but when she returned home, for the rest of the day it really started to bother her. Gail's words started to get to her. So much so that Iris really ended up not wanting them to go anymore, but because she didn't want to outright tell Allele she was uncomfortable with him going, she started to act sick when evening came, playing into the role well into the night. She even pretended like she couldn't sleep and would get up and go to the bathroom and fake throw up and things like that. So by time morning hit, she made it seem like Allele had really passed his sickness onto her. But now Iris realized she was wrong for what she did and now she was feeling terrible.
