Chapter 10 : the hardest word.

The snow was starting to melt, it was becoming warmer, Rhemeil took a deep breath and headed down stairs, now that winter was done and spring was on it's way she knew her warning about the dark figuer would come true, and that this would be her last stand, her final fight her last chance to be happy or walk away.

little did she know or understand that the dark figuer she was warrned about had been in clear shight all this time and he would not be and easy to destroy, she got down stairs and walked in to the kitchen, Ariel was making breakfast, Michael was reading a book "were is Recce?""he said he would be over for beakfast? '' mornirng'' ''good morning'' Ariel said taking a spoon of her breakfast, michael looked up from his book '' morning, how did you sleep?'' '' oh, not well actually'' ''mabey a fly would help?'' '' mabey um Ariel save me some breakfast im going out'' '' but it's early'' ''yeah, i know'' Rhemeil left the house and walked she headed in to the tress and along the path till she forund and old playground, it was in poor condition and showed the years, she walked over to a swing, it looked strongenoth so she sat down, slowly she started to swing '' as i live and breath'' '' recce, you were't at breakfast, where were you?'' ''around, so spring'' ''yes, it's the natural order of things'' '' i know, may i join you?'' he asked  pointing to the other swing she noded yes, he sat next to her their wings behind them, the humans had seen so much already, since the fall, all does years ago, but seeing two angels playing like children it must have  been amazing and sightly strange, ''so red ( he wanted to tell her everything he was holding in, wanted to tell her to stay, wanted to make her happy, wanted to be the reson she smiled but he said nothing like that ) it's warm already'' ''yes it is'' '' it's nice, i mean i like the snow and all but springs cool'' ''spring is cool?'' ''yeah flowers and stuff'' ''I should head back'' ''I'll walk with you, if you like'' ''I'd like that'' they got of the swings and started to head back tot he house, as they got closer  they could see smoke and smell fire, they started to run, they got back to see the barn well a light, '' what happend?'' Rhemeil asked Ariel '' i don't know i was washing up and then the barn was on fire'' '' can you put it out?'' recce asked rhemiel '' yes'' ''then do it'' she walked over to the burning burn rased her hands and the fire started to enter her fingers the flams stoped and she saved half of the barn from being destroyed, '' wow i actually did it'' she said with amazment, recce smiled '' so Ariel did you see anyone hanging around?'' recce asked '' no the humans were no were near the bran'' ''okay so who or what set the fire?'' Rhemiel asked.

a coupel of days past and Rhemiel spent time going over the fire, she had almost figuered it out exept for one thing who did it? Michael decided to strat patroling again to be safe, he said ''it was probely a stray demon looking for a fight  and burned the barn to hide his  tracks'' recce was not convinced, Ariel was just glade noone was hurt and the humans who lived on the propety were relived to still have a place to stay, thst night Rhemiel was on watch she heard a nosie ''whose there show your self''  Sabastian walked out of the shadows ''evening'' ''what the hell?'' she asked '' i heard about the fire, and im so gald your okay"  '' right'' ''is recce here?'' ''yes, he's in his room, um uriels old room'' '' thank you'' ''no poroblem'' sabastian walked past her and headed to recce's room '' you came few the door?'' ''yes, im not a animal'' '' debatiabel you aske to see me so talk'' '' very well, recce you need to come back'' ''why?'' ''becaues i miss you'' ''what really?'' ''no your a bad guy iy's not right'' ''i like it here besiades im happpier here" '' no your only hanging around becaues of your fellings for our red angel'' ''she's not yours and she she's not mine'' ''must suck to be so in love and yet'' ''sabastian is this all you wanted to be anoying'' ''yes just think about comeing back'' ''i will'' '''good oh and recce remember I know the truth, what your really hiding" Sabastian left the room recce sat on the bed and stated to fall a sleep, he woke to the sounds of screaming, it was Rhemiel he got up and ran to where the screams were coming form out side, it was dark Ariel grabed his arm ''don't just stay down, stay low'' ''were's michael?'' ''over there he's been knocked out'' ''who is it?'' ''some one new'' ''great and he has red?"' ''yes'' ''that's all i need to here'' he kind crawled towrds the pile of wood and hide behind it ''i can smell you mixed blood, come out and play'' a dark voice said recce stood up and walked out '' who the hell are you?'' '' oh come on you dont remeber me, well i have had work done, you could even say im a hole new man, ( he winked) but seriously, im the reson you exist, sure im a bit hurt that your shaked up with the good guys but what can you do?" recce study the man in front of him holding Rhemeil by her hair and a knife agents her throat then it hit him who this man was or who he ues to be '' henry'' '' bingo, well kind he's around in here some where probely dead, but this is my life now baby and im kinda pissed at the big guy, he knows what he did, and yet he let Michael take the sword and give it to a demon to save heaven and all they got was a vacation to where are we?'' Ariel stood up ''Cincinnati, Ohio, America'' ''oh wounderful so'' ''you still have't said who you are now?'' ''lucifer, nice to meet you'' ''like the fallen angel who condemed man'' ''no wrong, i was betrayed by..... nope not time hold it together look Recce is it? Rhemeil is the only one i want to talk to the rest of you can fuck off, and leave us a lone'' recce looked over at Ariel '' fine but you her and i'll hurt you'' ''yes fine, who look at me im a strong angel'' ariel and recce walked away and lucifer let go of rhemiel '' what do you want from me'' ''to talk, you wont win, the book is missing'' ''you lost it?" '' no  some demon named ray took it and thats why iam here, i need you to find the book and rest history'' ''what i can't noone can'' ''your boyfriend can'' ''I don't have a boyfriend'' ''you still don't get it he's the other key, when hery made him he put a key stone in sided his chest'' ''what?'' ''there  are four key's, he will have to die, I will  have to kill him to get the stone out but details'' ''no, no your not gona do this i wont let you'' ''you wont let me, what are you my mother, right we dont have a mother just a twisted father'' '''Lucifer please '' ''and whose gona stop me, you?'' ''yes''  she pulled her swords out from her back, she now carried them with her at all times and held them hight to show strength, ''please look at my toy ( he now held a raver large angel  blade in his hands it was black she had never seen a black balde before) see Rhemeil this bad buy will slice few you in one swing, chop then there was two'' '' go ahead try it'' ''this will be fun, hurting daddy's favourite'' ''i was never his favourite, you were'' '' wrong, wrong, wrong now shut your face'' he charged at her, rhemeil ducked then rolled and got up then ran to the front of the house, recce came runnng out sided with ariel '' your fighting?'' ariel asked '' he has some daddy issues'' ''oh right'' then lucifer came walking around the courner carring his balde '' holy crap'' recce said lucifer now stood in front of the three of them ready to take them down they might be in trouble.

lucifer took a swing at Ariel, recce pushed her out of the way and got hit across the back rhemiel stoped the blade taking another swing by standing between the balde and recce using her swords to lift the blade up, she used all her strength to push lucifer to the ground and now stood over him, '' rhemiel rember your dream darkness is coming and he will bring death with him, if you like I can stay to help would you like that'' ''not particully, i think you should go before i show you my power'' she light the swords on fire and they started to burn his blade making it hot he droped it ''fine, ill returne one day and then ill kill all of you'' lucifer picked up the blade and dissapered in to the night, rhemeile put ther sowrds away and helped recce up his wound was bad but he would live, Ariel walked over and helped take recce in sided, then they got michael to wake up and took him in as well, recce sat up on his bed shirtless, rhemeil walked in with a bolw of warm water and a towle, some bandges and a needel and thred, she sat the stuff on the bed sided tabel '' why did you stop him?'' recce asked '' no reason, just could't loss anyone else'' ''red....ouch warn a guy'' ''sorry, it's gona hurt, i have to clean the wound befoe i stich it'' ''okay just....ouch'' she gently dabed the wound, cleaning up the blood it was actualy not to deep and would hell nicely ''recce, lucifer told me something'' '' so you know?'' '' you knew?'' ''well yeah, i have a stone in my chest, you can see it'' he turned to face her and she saw the stone just under the skin, she reached out to touch it, he flinched with her touch, his skin was warm the stone felt hard, she felt him breathing, ,her fingers started to slip she felt his hand on hers'' um rigth turn back around'' ''he did with a smile oh his face ''it's okay red'' '' what shut up, hold still im going to stich it up, oh i need hold on'' she got and  ran out of the room then returned with a bottel of vodka, '' i' m not firsty'' ''no silly, its to steralis the wound and the needl, uriel liked to have a drink after dinner'' ''oh, go uriel'' '' hold still'' she pored the vodka over the wound, he flinched again with pain, she the did the needel, and fread, after she was doen she put a patch over the wound '' um you can put your shirt back on now''  ''I think it's best that i do'' she cleaned up then left the room, yep saying good bye would be hard to say the lest.

days past, time had finaly chatched up and it was the two days before the end of the month, rhemeil woke up she was packed a small backpack, she was ready she glanced out her window and saw recce standing at the gates,'' hey'' ''um hey we need to talk shall we?'' he held out his hand and she took it '' we could fly?'' ''oh'' they let their wings free and lifted in to the morning sky, a while later they landed at a small filed '' so '' recce said, ''so what now?'' "red don't you know?'' '' no'' '' I once said that I would gladly burn for you, and I still would'' ''recce why? are you saying this'' ''does it need saying? would you stay if I said it?'' '' say it and let's see'' '' do you forgive me?''  yes I forgive you'' '' then you have to stay'' ''I can't'' ''why not''  ''because, I everyone I love dies and I don't want you to die'' ''Waite? you love me?'' ''yes'' '' oh right you need to go'' ''what?'' '' look you need to find the book, and then come home, so we can be together because I love you too, so go so you can return'' '' all this time, I believed that you didn't love me back'' ''really, my beautiful sweet Rhemiel, I've loved you for so long I only lied to push you away'' as he said it he heard Sabastian's words in his mind he would have to be careful as the lines were becoming bleared.

the Moring came and the sun rose, Rhemiel grabbed her backpack and headed out side, she hugged Ariel and Michael at the same time '' be safe'' Ariel said she walked to the gate and recce stepped from around the corner '' Rhemiel come home soon'' '' I will'' she said crying he wiped her tears away and kissed her, then she let him go and walked away.
