Ice cream.

(Y/N) & Ethan had been happily dating for almost three & a half years.

It's as if there relationship was still as fresh as the first day they met. When Ethan see's (Y/N) his heart still beats fast & his cheeks burn to a strawberry color.

Today was there forty second anniversary, which for (Y/N) meant Ethan was going to take her somewhere special.

He told her to dress 'Normally' which was very unusual for (Y/N) because Ethan was always that Extreme person, He was always so extra with things  & that's what (Y/N) loved about Ethan, he was different, In a good way.

Ethan came to pick up (Y/N), this time his heart was racing faster than usual. 

"so where we going?" (Y/N) probed Ethan.

"To an Ice cream shop!" Ethan Elevated squirming in his chair.

(Y/N) giggles continuing conversation with Ethan.

Once they reach the Ice cream shop Ethan Immediately says,

"Hey, (Y/N) tell me what you want I'll get it," He smiles seating her in her chair.

(Y/N) warmly smiles ordering what she wanted.

Ethan nodded walking to the cashier, (Y/N) Immediately gets distracted by her phone, Scrolling through her social media longer than she should've Ethan comes back With both there orders.

(Y/N) wasn't really hungry so she set her Ice cream aside giving her full attention to Ethan conversing to him while he was eating.

After a while Ethan grew impatient.

"(Y/N) you should eat that, You know before it melts?" He suggests eating another spoon full of his Ice cream.

(Y/N) didn't want to be rude given the fact that Ethan practically spent his money on (Y/N) for something she said she wanted.

(Y/N) Takes the first bite, She realizes how luscious the Ice cream was & began to eat faster

"N-no, (Y/N) you shouldn't eat it too fast Or-"

Ethan was rudely cut off by the sound of (Y/N)'s whimper of pain.

"Awe," She groans pulling out what seemed to be more of a ring than straight metal.

Ethan then got down on one knee after (Y/N) began to realize what kind of scheme Ethan was pulling all this time.

"(Y/N), Look, I guarantee there'll be tough times. I guarantee that at some point, one or both of us is gonna want to get out of this thing. But I also guarantee that if I don't ask you to be mine, I'll regret it for the rest of my life, because I know, in my heart, you're the only one for me," Ethan pauses looking into (Y/N)'s eyes before saying,

"So (Y/N), would you make me the happiest man on earth & marry me?!" 

At this point (Y/N) was balling her eyes out nodding rapidly placing her engagement ring on her finger.

"Yes,Yes I will marry you Ethan!" She smiles pulling him in a warm hug.
