Aprils Fools Mistake.

Author's note : This is actually very triggering and it took me three days to come up with.

(Y/N) & Ethan had been dating for five years now and You guys were driving to a restaurant To celebrate your  Fifth Anniversary. 

You had arrived and Had ordered your food, when you thought the night was Over Ethan Got down in one knee in the middle of the Restaurant and finally proposed. You were so happy and excited that you immediately Had said yes, Taking the ring and placing it on your Ring finger.

Then while Everyone was still watching in awe Ethan snatched the finger off your Ring finger and exclaimed "April fools, Dumbass!" People gasped and others snickered there laughs and you were left in nothing but pure Embarrassment and Rage. for Ethan he thought you'd both laugh and be able to tell your children the funny story of how He had 'Proposed' To his wife but he was mistakenly wrong as he watched you rise from your chair with tears in your Eyes. You had Grabbed your things Leaving the now silent Restaurant.

"It was just a joke," Ethan Shrugged in the car. "A Joke? You call that a Joke!" You massaged your temples, You kept your calm. You were trying to be the bigger person In this situation even though you were seconds away from blowing at Ethan. "Yeah, that was Awesome!" He high-fived himself "Ethan you Made me look like an Idiot! Having 'Proposed' to me and then calling me a dumbass because It's April the first." You raised your voice turning to look at Ethan who was Grinning in idiocy. "Listen I-" He started but you had lost it already. "Take me home I don't Even want to look at you, You disgust me!" You  never had thought  those last four words would Ever slip out of your mouth. You were sure Ethan was the one for all of five years but this one night had changed it all.

He started the car slowly head hanging low and he drove you Home in silence.  When you had reached home You Gathered your things in a suitcase ready to leave the House that you once could call yours and Ethan's.

Without saying another word to A very upset Ethan you Grabbed your car Keys and sped to wherever. Unfortunately for You, You Had sped to fast on the highway Crashing into another car And giving yourself a coma. When Ethan heard the news he quickly Ran to the hospital not having time to drive his car. that Night was officially the fastest  He ran. Once he Reached the Hospital He say you lying in your bed, Looking lifeless as ever And he sobbed and sobbed hoping that you'd wake up now. he'd promise that he'd never leave you & He'd never be a idiot again for yours and his sake. Fortunate for him You could hear him very well but you couldn't move your lips, arms or even your eyes You screamed inside your head hoping that this was all just a dream but it wasn't.

It had been at least two years when finally, your eyes shot open and Ethan wasn't there. There were dead flowers on your lap and a old note. ' I hope you wake up soon -E'  You called his name again and again but there was no one there. He had left. 

but little did you know he was at the flower shop picking out your favorite set of flowers Like he always did, Everyday.
