It's been 5 years since Aaliyah left. DeVante has moved on and gotten married to Kidada.He even has 2 children with her a girl name Kimberly Emily DeGrate and another girl name Francesca Justina DeGrate. Aaliyah and DeVante son Christian is 5 also.
"Momma when is Daddy coming home.", Christian says running into Kidada arms
"Soon Chris hush before you wake up Francesca.", Kidada warns not wanting Christian to wake up her 1 year old daughter
"Sorry Momma.", Christian says staring at Kidada with his light brown eyes that are identical to DeVante
"Kidada.", DeVante said walking into their home
"DeVante hush the girls are sleeping well Francesca is.", Kidada warns him also

"Hey daddy.", Christian smiles with the same smile that Aaliyah has

"Boy you crazy, Kid you never checked the voice machine.", DeVante asked her
"No sorry.", Kidada says looking over at DeVante
"Hey DeVante long time no sea, it's me Aaliyah I was hoping we can meet up and talk about a lot of things.", Aaliyah said on the phone and even Kidada is in shocked
"DeVante did she say Aaliyah.", Kidada says in shocked over her former best friend name
"Yeah.", DeVante said in shock
"Christian go check on Kimberly ok.", Kidada says as Christian runs upstairs to check on his sister
"No way.", DeVante said looking at the phone
"DeVante we can't let her back in after she left you and Christian. Who leaves their own child.", Kidada says wanting some response from DeVante
"I know look baby she ain't coming around my son so easily.", DeVante says
"No our son.", Kidada says as DeVante nods
"Momma Kimmy is playing with her toys while Franny is still asleep.", Christian smiles and as Devante looks at him. It's safe to say he is Aaliyah son
DeVante:
Honestly I don't know what to do. Kidada is adamant about Aaliyah not coming around since she left. I needed to blow some steam off every since yesterday. That's why I found myself in the studio and as I walk in I see Aaliyah. The woman that broke my heart and left me and our son. She's talking to Puffy and Missy and it seems they are having a good ol conversation.
"Sup DeVante.", Puffy says and Aaliyah turns around and looks at me. Fuck
"Hey.", I mumbled looking mainly at Puffy and not Aaliyah
"Look I gotta check on Tim but wassup DeVante.", Missy says and I smile
"Hey DeVante it's been a while.", Aaliyah smiles at me
"It has what are you doing here.", I asked her
"Well I left you a recording on the machine but you didn't answer so I decided this was the only place and plus I heard about you and the rest of guys on a break from Jodeci.", Aaliyah says and I nod
"Yeah me and the guys didn't break up we just wanted to do other things.", I tell her softly
"So um I see you got married.", Aaliyah says looking at my wedding ring
"Yeah I did.", I smile
"So how is he.", Aaliyah asked and I know who exactly she's talking about
"He's good.", I tell her and that's when I hear a door open and it's Kidada
"Hey DeVante. Aaliyah.", Kidada says with a glare
"Hey Kidada.", Aaliyah says looking down
"Hey baby.", I say kissing her
"Hey I wanted to give you this. It's from Christian school play I better go I'll see you later.", Kidada says leaving
"So you married Kidada.", Aaliyah asked in shocked
"Yeah.", I say smiling
"So is she around our son.", Aaliyah asked with a hint of jealousy
"No my son and yes she is.", I say correcting her
"DeVante I'm sorry for everything and I'm ready to be a mother to my son just please.", Aaliyah begs
"Aaliyah you missed 5 fucking years of his life it's going to take a lot and I would but Kidada isn't going to allow that.", I tell her
"Kidada isn't his mother I am.", Aaliyah scoffed
"Not biologically but she's the only mother he knows.", I say
"I want my son this isn't over.", Aaliyah says angrily

DeVante didn't know what to do. How could she leave and come back 5 years later and would think Christian would even know her. All DeVante knew is when he get home Kidada is going to rip him a new one which she did.
"Oh My Fucking God DeVante.", Kidada said angrily
"I know baby calm down.", DeVante said calmly thank god the kids were with Faith
"She had the nerves to come back matter fact what did she say.", Kidada asks literally pulsing know
"Well she did kinda say she wanted to see Christian but of course I told her she would have to go through you for that.", DeVante said to Kidada
"In order for her to ever come near Christian me and her would have to talk, so I could see if I trust her in his life DeVante.", Kidada says
"I agree.", DeVante says nodding his head
"I need to go to bed the nerve of that trick.", Kidada says apparently still angry
"Jesus save me from these women.", DeVante muttered under his breath
"NIGGAH JUST KNOW YOU SLEEPING ON THE COUCH BOY.", Kidada says and DeVante knew her good side is coming out
