Chapter 3

Detention is the worst!

It was 10:00 o'clock at night and finally detention was over. Uncle Harry and dad were right, McGonagall's punishments are the worst in the magic world.

When I arrived to the Gryffindor common room, I could notice Alex's brown hair in one of the couches. He looked cute staring at the fire of the fireplace. He heard my steps and looked at me.

"Hey, finally your freedom is back!" He said laughing. I nodded.

 "I hate Malfoy." I finally said "he spoils everything I do. First, He took Albus away from me and now I am in detention the rest of the week because of him."

 Alex stared at me for a moment and then he started laughing. "You look cute when you are angry" he said. In that moment, I felt how my cheeks burnt,

I was blushing!

Every time I talk with Alex he makes me forget about that hateful ferret. He is a nice friend. At this moment, I could tell that he is better than Albus and that's a lot to say.

"See you tomorrow?" he asked

"I have detention tomorrow Alex" I said sighing.

 "Well maybe you will see me there." He said.

"What!" I said with wide open eyes. "What did you do?" I asked.

"It's James and Freds fault, they invited me to play with fireworks in the halls but unfortunately Professor Longbottom was there. So now I'm your new detention partner." He said.

"When will you learn Alex? Never accept James and Fred game proposals, they will guide you to detention" I said.

"Nah, who cares we can TEASE Malfoy together" he said with a smirk.

"Ok" I said smiling to the idea as I left the common room.

That night I barely finished my homework but I finally did it. Professor Wheelbarrow's essay was not easy. But nothing is impossible for Rose Weasley.

When I woke up the next morning I noticed that I slept with the uniform on. This time Alice was the first to wake up. She looked at me and asked me.

" Where were you?"

"Detention" I said.

"I know, but detention finished at 10:00, It was 11:00 o'clock when you went up to our room, Were you were with someone?" she asked teasing me. "I was talking with Alex" I simply said. "Oh, I see, so Alex is your boyfriend" she said. And before I could say anything she started screaming ' Rosie has a boyfriend, Rosie has a boyfriend'.

Alice's screams woke up Erin and Cariba. Cariba was too angry that she throw a pillow to Alice's face and Erin with a surprised face asked me about my "New boyfriend".

When we finally went down Alex was waiting like usual with a face that said 'you're late, AGAIN!'

"Very funny, don't tell me you never sleep in" I said as I hit him playfully. "I do, just not every day!" He said with a smirk.

We walked down to the Great hall talking and laughing, Alice and Erin were laughing and teasing me about Alex, and Cariba was just reading her book.

When we sat down i was going to tell Alex something about quidditch when at that moment I saw Albus and Scorpius came in and I watched them walk towards us, "Can we sit with you?"Albus asked "Why don't you sit at YOUR table?" I said while pointing at the Slytherins.

"People kind of treat me bad since I'm a Potter" he said with a gloomy face.

"I guess" not daring to look at his face. But then I remembered that Scorpius was with him "You can sit, but why does HE have to be here?"

Albus looked from me to Scorpius but didn't say anything. "For your information" Scorpius said with his nose in the air "I defended Albus so they started picking on me too, so I'm here for Albus, not because I want to see your 'pretty' face, ok?

I rolled my eyes and started talking to Alex, in the corner of my eye I saw that Albus and Scorpius were looking at Alex with disgust.

After breakfast I waited for Albus and because we have transfiguration together we walked alongside each other, after 2 minutes of silence I asked him "Do you have a problem with Alex?"

"No, just that...... I don't trust him!" He said very calmly and then a little bit angry, "Why?" I asked very confused. "Since you know him you don't talk to me anymore" He said looking at the floor. I was amazed and a little angry at his words 'don't talk to him' how dare he! "So now you blame this on me! YOU were the one ignoring me, all because of THAT..... Rodent!!" I said almost screaming. He looked at me in shock and I just ran to my class were I knew I could distract me with all that was happening, As always it was Malfoy's fault!....
