False Accusations

Do you remember when you were in second grade and something bad would happen, so everyone automatically looked for someone to blame?

Well, let's just say that that's how I feel right now. I'm sitting in the court room waiting for the jury to tell me if I'm guilty or not. Even if I'm not.

"Abella Black, " I looked up at the judge who started talking to me.

"You are being accused of the murder of Sophie Walker." I think the judge intended for that to be a question, but it sound more like a statement.  Either way, I nodded my head in agreement.

I looked over at my Dad and my lawyer. Dad claimed that he got me the best lawyer money could buy.

They called me up to the stand for questioning, but I knew no matter what was said or how good my lawyer is that I would be found guilty.

"Do you deny going to Sophie Walker's party that night?" The lady asked.

"No."

"Do you deny that you and Sophie hated each other?"

"No." I didn't know what else to say. Only I knew what happened that night and I can't tell anyone. She continued with the questions.

"Did Sophie do anything to make you mad? Or to feel upset? Or maybe was there any guy drama involved?"

"No."

I looked around the court room. There was people I new from school here and people from the town. But the only person I wanted to see,the only person that could help me from this, was long gone by now. And who knows if he will ever come back.

"Abella. Abella!" I broke out of my trance and looked at the lady. She was tall and wore a tight buisness suit. Her hair was jet black and cut into a small bob just below her chin. I saw a paper on her desk that read Angie Statezlaw.

"I asked if you could explain to the court in detail exactly how that whole day went."

"It started normal I guess. I got ready for school and went downstairs to check on my mom. I heard her crying again, so I snuck out the back so that I wouldn't disturb her. She was still upset about Dad leaving us. She told me constantly how I am just a reminder of something she lost, so I didn't want to start the day with a big fight. I went to school that day too but nothing really exciting happened."

The day of Sophie's party

I got to school that day earlier than I normally do because I skipped the usual breakfast (and screams) with Mom.

I was on my way to the library when I was stopped by my 2 best friends, Jackie and Val. Jackie's real name is Jackson, but he hates being called that so we call him Jackie. Jackie is My GBF (Gay Best Friend). He is totally hot though, with his tan skin that is practically flawless, and his blues eyes can literally make any girl melt.

Val was my cute little friend. We have been at the same school for years but only met last year, unlike me and Jackie who have been friends since sixth grade.

Val has like porcelain skin and bright green eyes that fade into a purply blue color. Her hair was so long that she could sit on it and it's the brightest red color you will ever see.

"Hey guys, what's up?" I said.

"There is a new guy in the front office checking in right now, girl ." Jackie practically yelled. Me and Val just laughed. I gave out a small squeal with Jackie because let's face it if there is a hot guy I want to see him.

"You two really need to quit obsessing over guys and work on your school work." stated Val .

She's always been the nerdy one in our group but she is probably right. I'm failing like 3 classes.

Me Val and Jackie walked to home room together as always and sat at our normal table. Just as Mr. Jells was about to start class there was a knock at the door. Jackie started Messing with his cloths and trying to make himself look good and all eyes were on the new guy as soon as Mr.Jells opened the door.

"Ah, You must be our new student. Mr.Halls?"

He was definitely hot. He had dark brown hair and his eyes where dark forest green with Hazel in the center.

"Alexander " He said. His voice was deep but he sounded kind.

"Well," Mr. Jells continued, "Take any open seat."
Alexander sat in the very back and waited for every one to turn back around and quit staring.Every one looked away eventually but I couldn't.

The bell rang telling everyone to go to their next class. I tried to pack my things slowly so I could "Accidently" run into Alexanders, But he was gone when I looked up from my bag.

The rest of my morning classes were boring . And I didn't see Alexander all morning.

It was time for lunch so I was going to the library. I know it's a weird spot for lunch but I prefer being surrounded by all of these incredible books than being with all of those highschool idiots in the cafeteria. I come to the library so often that I have basically memorized every book they have. My favorite book is about a girl who falls in love with a genie but he gets tragically taken from her so they both fight dangerous battles to make their way back to each other. I have always wondered if some one would ever love me enough to go through deadly challenges just to be with me, but that kind of stuff is just for the fairy tales.

I looked up from my book only to see Alexander sitting across the room. He had a book in his hand. It was called "Fog and rain."

I read that book last year. I thought it was awesome but I didn't know any one else who would read it. It's kind of old.

I was going to go speak to him but the fire alarm went off and everyone had to leave the building and go stand out the pouring rain.
