(Monday night)
That night me and Bret had our movie date that we decided we would have every Monday since we started dating. We decided to watch one of our all-time favorite movies. Bedtime stories. It was my favorite because it had Adam Sandler in it. And it was Bret's favorite movie because he was a HUGE fan of childhood fantasies. We cuddled up on the couch with my favorite sky blue blanket that has little pink bows. I hade my favorite movie snack; Carmel Covered popcorn, and Bret had his; salt and vinegar chips. About halfway through the movie he started to gently massage my head, and neck and I fell asleep, shortly after Bret dozed off and we slept happily together again. When I finally woke up the next morning, the strong scent of blueberry pancakes and bacon where floating through the air! My favorite breakfast!!

(Thursday morning)Thursday!! I marked it off on my calendar. Thursday was my favorite day of the week because me and Bret have our surprise date! Ever since we started dating, every Thursday we alternate and do something special with eachother but it's a secret! Tonight was Bret's night and I was super exited because Bret alway chooses the BEST things ever! In the car on the way to school I decided to text him "good morning handsome! Can't wait for tonight! See you in a bit 😘❤️" I waited for his reply. And waited. And waited.... And still.... Nothing. That was unusual for Bret........ Normally he texted right back something really sweet. "His phone probably died" I muttered to myself as I walked to class. As I got out my books and assignments, I pulled his sweatshirt out. "Shoot I have to make sure I give this to him!" He had left his favorite sweatshirt at my house from Monday night and I'd finally remembered to bring it. After I checked into my homeroom, I told my homeroom teacher Mrs. Spice that I had something to return to a friend of mine. Mrs. Spice is that stereotypical grandmother; old, smells good, always kind, never yells, bakes LOTS and LOTS of cookies, so she allowed me to go. I walked into Bret's homeroom and approached Mr. Alan's desk. "Is Bret Marshall here?"
He scanned his attendance list "umm...... No I'm afraid not April, I'm sorry" he said. "Oh.. Umm... It's ok! I just had something to return to him. Well, see you for social studies! Bye."
Well that's weird. Bret's only ever been late once and that was because his moms car broke down. I knew he would be here soon so I tried not to worry too much.Bye the time I got to science he still wasn't there..... He'd NEVER been this late in his LIFE! What if something happened?!! I was too busy worrying I didn't bother to take notes on what our test was going to be on! I decided to hold onto the idea that he'd be back by lunch, and if not, I'll find him and then kill him for making me worry like this.
By time lunch came around I nearly sprinted down the hallway. He. Wasn't. THERE! Thankfully I had the best best friend EVER and we went to go call Bret.
"Maybe he'll show up in time for our mystery date" I said halfheartedly to Marissa over the phone. "Look, ap, he loves you soooo much and I'm SURE he'll show up. Don't worry!"
So I decided to wait downstairs for him. I waited....... And waited..... And waited some more..... By 12:00pm I gave up. I stomped upstairs and slammed my door. What the hell was keeping him from our date that he NEVER EVER MISSED!? He hasn't missed a single date, special occasion, some secret sentimental day NOTHING! Boy was HE going hear about this.
