Light's newest hero.{17} Dinner with a fool

Chapter 17: Dinner with a fool.

"Come In," I said.

The door creaked opened and a blond boy with a mullet appeared through the door. His ocean blue eyes brought color to the room and they struck me as two orbs of stupidity. He looked deathly scared.

"H-hello," he stuttered."I-I J-just thought I-I brung you your dinner so you don't have to eat with the scary members but I thought it would be better if you ate with me."

I smiled warmly."I'd love to!"

His expression brightened and he quickly closed the door and put the food on my bed. The tray had a plate of thinly sliced turkey with a pool of gravy and mashed potatoes. The other plate had a beautifully sliced steak with roasted asparagus. He looked at me.

"You pick, it's your welcoming dinner. Man, I don't remember the food looking this good when I got my welcoming dinner. Actually, from what I remember, not many members got a warm welcome worth of a great dinner," Demyx explained.

I nodded and took the plate with the steak and asparagus, Demyx took the other plate.

"I hope you don't mind me not eating with you...." Demyx said bashfully, his cheeks turning slightly pink.

"I really don't get along with everyone here and I certainly never ate with a girl. Well, without one trying to kill me." he look down.

I cut my meat into smaller bites And took a bite. The meat melted like butter in my mouth.

"There was a girl in the organization named Larxene and she was a-" He paused.

"A-"

"A what?"

"A bitch and she would either shock or stab me with her kunai's. I still wonder how I'm still alive today. Not that I'm EXACTLY alive anymore." Demyx muttered, pouting.

I placed my fork and knife down, looking at Demyx strangely.

"Not exactly? What do you mean your not exactly alive?" I asked.

Demyx took a bite of his food and sighed.

"Okay, I may not be the brightest crayon out of the box, but I sure know what the hell I am,"

"Demyx..."

"Everybody has no heart in the organization. Except you. You are still a somebody, a somebody with feelings, and mortality. Unlike us where we are stuck like this.Forever."

I moved the tray and leaned closer to him. My eyes mirrored demyx's ocean blue eyes with my gold eyes.

"If your not alive, then why are you still breathing? A person regardless of their condition has to breathe. Demyx we all have the same case, I have a heart and you all do. If you are too numb to find your heart beat, try to remember yours with mine," I said grabbing his hand, placing it on my chest where my heart was.

Demyx blushed as I held onto him more. My heart's beat was steady.

"Do you feel it?" I asked. He nodded.

Demyx closed his eyes and leaned forward some more. It was then the door opened. My head snapped towards the door and I saw Axel in the doorway with his smirk, his arms crossed.

"Well well, already trying mess with innocent guys already huh Siamx?" Axel said.

Demyx jumped back making the tray of food fall over and spilling all over my bed. Both me and Demyx waved our Hands in defense.

"It's not what it looks like Axel!" Demyx yelled.

"Uh huh, not gonna believe it until I hear it from Siamx." he said.

My expression grew serious.

"We weren't trying to do anything Axel, now, what do you want?" I Asked.

"The boss man wants me to tell you that you are beginning your training missions with me tomorrow. Why Is it I'm always stuck with you?" He asked, shifting from the door step.

I rose from the bed.

"Gee I dunno, it's fate...Can you go now Axel? I gotta clean this up-"

"Don't worry Sai, I'll have some Dusks clean your bed. You can always sleep with me in mine." Demyx offered.

Vanitas appeared beside me, crossing his arms.

"You better not, I'll kill that wimp if you do." He warned.

Axel walked out the door.

"Whatever you love birds," He said, his walking then stopped and his head popped into the room.

"Just make sure you use protection if your tempted Demyx."

Both our faces grew a deep red.
