"i feel so strangely humiliated, tae."
"what happened now, hyung?" taehyung asks, eyebrows raised.
the younger knows that yoongi absolutely despises feeling humiliated even the slightest bit, and it does not help that it is easy to make yoongi feel humiliated, even with the smallest of things.
"the hoseok guy turned me down. i feel like boo boo the fool," yoongi groans out loud.
taehyung looks at the older, eyes widened in disbelief. "turned you down? why would he?"
"well," yoongi starts, eyes averted. "uh, so apparently, his schedule is already full because so many people had him booked for valentine's day."
rolling his eyes, the younger plops down beside yoongi in the couch. "you're so stupid. he didn't turn you down, hyung. i bet if his schedule wasn't full, he'd cater to your fake boyfriend needs."
"but still—"
"it ain't that deep, bro." taehyung speaks in wonky english. yoongi snorts.
"yea, whatever." yoongi stretches his arms before standing up, dusting off the imaginary dirt in his shirt. "i better get going, tae. need to find a fake boyfriend."
"what? wait!" taehyung catches yoongi's wrists with his large hands. the older turns around, a questioning look present in his eyes.
"give it a day, hyung." taehyung says.
yoongi narrows his eyes at the younger. "what do you mean?"
"the operation: find-a-fake-boyfriend thing. rest easy, for a day. i assure you, at the end of this day, you're gonna have someone to pretend to be your lover."
yoongi narrows his eyes further. "and how will you do that?" he trains his eyes over taehyung's face to find any clue or something suspicious, because the younger did seem to be hiding something.
taehyung only smiles and walks past him, but not before whispering, "magic." in yoongi's ears.

yoongi wakes up from his nap, exhausted and groggy. he reaches for his phone, turning the device on.
