"Could you make it a bunny?"
Fiona nods as she looks at the patch of daisies just inches away. I watch as she has them grow beautifully into the form of a running rabbit. The detail is quite stunning, and I look at her with fascination.
"Like this?" she inquires, turning away from her masterpiece only a moment to see my response.
"It's absolutely amazing! I love it!" I say. Fiona's face lights up as bright as the summer sun above us. "You're very talented, you know."
"Thank you, y/n," she laughs, looking back at the daisy rabbit. "I have had plenty of years of practice."
Before either of us could say anything else, I hear my name being called across the field.
"Y/n! Come quickly!" shouts the unidentified voice. I apologize to Fiona and rush off to go see who it is. Perhaps Millard has gotten angry again and won't come out of hiding? He would always listen to me, but I never knew why. The breeze blows my hair as I run across the green meadow, passing the elephant hedge along the way. I walk into familiar mansion and call, "Yes, I'm here, what is it?"
Bronwyn rushes up to me, a look of worry painted on her face.
"I accidentally forgot my own force again and sort of.. maybe.. kinda unintentionally slammed the ball into Millard.." she says as she looks down at the floor, her voice tainted with shame. I look at her.
Again?, I ask her. She doesn't reply, for she's avoiding my eyes.
"I'm sorry!" she says aloud. "It really was an accident this time! How was I to know that he was standing there? It's his fault for being naked!"
I sigh. I'll take care of it, I tell her. How many more times am I gonna have to do this?
Bronwyn finally looks back at me. Thank you, she replies. How come you decided to speak to me using your mind?
I dunno, I shrug. I suppose that, since it's my peculiarity, it just feels more natural. I turn and begin to call for Millard in hopes that I might find him. This might take a while.
