Waves of orange, red, and yellow colors danced around me, swaying menacingly. Smokes fogged my vision yet the scorching waves were too bright to go unnoticed. Hissing fires surrounded me as they blared in the dark and it seems like they were the only source of light at this moment.
I stretched my hand out and slowly reached for the nearest fire beside me. I tried bracing myself for the burn. I am not a masochist but I figured if you are surrounded by fire, you might as well be sweating profusely. But I don't feel hot at all and it was disturbing me. A lot.
My head whipped around when I heard a blood-curdled scream. My eyes settled on a car that was turned upside down. I could make out the dents and the shattered glasses of the shield. I could make out the screams of help followed by poundings coming from the car. Its screams of horror were piercing right through me and I felt like it could blast my eardrums any second.
