You know those moments when time slowed down and your senses heightened. Suddenly you can see much brighter, hear much clearer, and feel things with more intensity.
But your brain is the opposite; by fucking slowing down so your mind is all blank, unable to form a single coherent thought.
Clearly I wasn't thinking well when I did that.
He halted on his tracks and gaped at me. He had his lips parted as huge pants escaped his mouth. His hair disheveled as if he was running for a long time. My eyes roamed over his build as I took my time to comprehend the human being standing ahead of me looking like as if he was being chased by something he find repulsive.
I stood rooted on my spot, not daring to move too. Neither one of us said anything. Normally, people would continue sprinting past me when they were in a hurry. Some would even have the unfortunate luck of having to pass through me without both our intentions.
But not Jace.
Not him when he ceased to an abrupt halt. He then slowly roamed his eyes of every inch of my petite frame, incomprehensible sensations swirling under my skin just as his mesmerising globes scan over it warily. My brain wasn't working, just taking a grasp of the moment of his acknowledgement, basking myself at the feeling. But there's one thing I'm sure of at the moment:
