"Gabby I really don't feel like going out tonight." I said holding my phone with my shoulder as I poured myself a glass of water.

"I don't care, you never come out anymore since you and Jarrod. Look I told you earlier you don't have a choice we will be there in five, and we will start getting you ready." She said hanging up the phone before I could protest. I sighed, and rolled my eyes. I sat my phone down on the marble counter, and drank the rest of my water. I already knew this party wasn't going to be my thing. I mean I rarely go out I'm more of a stay in, and watch Netflix, and chill kind of person, but apparently with my friends that's not allowed. I heard my doorbell, and mentally prepared myself for what was to happen next as I went to open the door for Gabby, and Alison.

"Really a bun, and sweatpants. Have you even showered?" Alison asked. I gave her a look. "Don't even answer that. I can already guess the answer." She said holding her hand out.

"Alright let's go." Gabby said pulling me upstairs to my bathroom.

"Wash your hair, shave, and lather yourself up with soap, we will have your outfit ready by the time you're done." Alison said pushing me into the bathroom, then shutting the door. I didn't even have it in me to argue with them anymore, I knew that no matter what I said they would still get me all dolled up, and literally drag me by my hair to the party. I really don't know why they want me to go to all these parties now a days... Well that's a lie, they are trying to help me get over Jarrod, but really making me go to all these parties isn't going to help anything. I mean I was in a relationship, and engaged for three and a half years, and on our wedding day he never showed up. Gabby, and Alison think that by dolling me up, and taking me to all these parties is going to help somehow, but  I know it wont. I am known as the girl who got left at the alter in my friend group, and they try they really do to help me feel better, but like I said before I would rather stay in watch Netflix, and eat cookie dough ice cream. I turned the water off wrapped my towel around me, and went into my room.

"Clothes are on the bed, hurry up and change we have to work our magic." Gabby said I turned towards my bed, and put the outfit on.

"Okay sit, Gabby is doing your hair, and I'm doing your makeup

"Okay sit, Gabby is doing your hair, and I'm doing your makeup." Alison informed me. Not that I really had a say or choice in the matter of anything that was happened. I watched them both work together to try and make me look semi decent, but no way was I ever going to look half as good as they do. It was just impossible. I mean Gabby for instance had raven black hair that was naturally wavy, and fell just past her shoulders, she had grey eyes, she had curves in all the right places, and was confident with herself, she was also a fashion designer for Cosmo. Alison had long blonde hair that went to the middle of her back, and was naturally straight, but for tonight she had it in beachy waves. She had hazel eyes, and was naturally skinny she was actually a Victoria's Secret angel, so yet another thing that automatically made her prettier than me. And me? Well My long hair that falls all the way down to my waist is burgandy, but not naturally obviously, my natural color is a light caramel brown, I have crystal blue eyes, and I have a six pack, and I am very fit. I work at Hooters. So, yeah you do your observations who's the ugly duckling, and the one who doesn't fit in? If you guessed me you would be correct.

"Okay we're done!" Gabby exclaimed bringing me out of my thoughts, and back to reality. I observed myself in the mirror, and honestly didn't recognize myself. I had a dramatic smokey eye, with a deep red lipstick on my lips, and my hair was in loose curls.

"Wow, I actually look good, and unrecognizable. Nobody would know who I am." I said.

"Shut up, you always look good Carli." Gabby yelled fixing a piece of her own hair, and then tucking it behind her ear.

"Okay let's go." Alison said grabbing my left arm, and Gabby grabbed my right. Before I knew it we were sitting in Gabby's car, and on our way to wherever the party was being held at....

A while later we pulled up to a really nice mansion with a bunch of people around the yard, and most of them had red cups in their hands. I rolled my eyes how did I know it was going to be this kind of party.

"You realize I haven't drank since the month after my "wedding" and I told you I wasn't going to drink anymore." I told them using air quotes since there technically wasn't a wedding.

"Carli, it's okay to break the rules, and let your guard down every once in a while." Alison said turning around to face me. I just shook my head.

"K let's go it's time for you to get back out into the world, and meet new people, maybe even a new boyfriend." Gabby said adding a wink. I gave her a deathly glare. "Or not." She added grabbing her purse and getting out of the car. I sighed, and stepped out of the car as well taking in my surroundings. A bunch of drunk people obviously I mean what else would you find at a party like this? The girls led me inside, and instantly I felt dizzy, and had a slight headache forming from the stench of alcohol and the loud music that was blaring. Alison left me and Gabby for a few minutes I was confused for a minute, but then saw her coming back with three cups in her hands.

"No." I kind of had to scream, because the music was so loud. She rolled her eyes.

"You need to relax." She said extending her arm out towards me waiting for me to take the cup that was in her hands. Little did she know I wasn't going to.

"If you don't take this cup, and drink it we will pour it down your throat ourselves." Alison warned taking a drink from her cup. I took the cup, but in my head I was stabbing them both. I took a drink letting the liquid burn my throat on the way down.

"There you go sport." Gabby said chugging her drink Alison did the same thing I followed suit.

"Alright go mingle." Alison said handing me another cup, and they both pushed me away from them. I looked around the house not really sure where to go or who to talk to. I saw a staircase, and walked up it not really sure what I was going to find, and not sure what to expect either.
