But I Believe We're The Enemy

The Fabulous Four

It's been two years since I escaped Battery City, I'm so glad I did. Battery City has now become an emotionless and white city run by Better Living Industries or BL/ind. Everyone who lives where takes these pills that take all emotions and memories away from them, it's terrible. 

I became Electric Adrenaline and along with my friends Cherry Bomb, Missle Mischief and Radio Blaster, work for Dr. Death Defying to help take down BL/ind and bring back colour. Our little group quickly climbed Dr. D's ranks to become the second most formidable group of killjoys, next to The Fabulous Four. We mainly went to drac facilities and destroy them but we also help smaller groups in fights and in missions. 

We were heading back to Dr. D's after our latest successful mission when we saw a red trans-am, with a killjoy spider on the hood, at the side of the road. We pull over, make sure our bandanas are secure around our faces and take out our blasters just in case before we jump out of the car. We silently walk over to the trans and look in. Suddenly a guy with a biker helmet with 'Good Luck' written on it jumps up and points his blaster at me but Cherry and I already had ours pointed at him. 

"Who are you?" the man asked

"I'm Cherry Bomb and this is Electric Adrenaline" Cherry stated, I gave a small wave

" You're two guys from The Disappointing Obsession aren't you?"  He said lowering his blaster slightly

"yeah that's us, the other two; Radio Blaster and Missle Mischief are on the other side of the car" I responded gesturing to the window behind him. "And who are you guys" I questioned pointing to the three other guys in the car

"I'm Kobra Kid, that's Party Poison" he announced giving the red head a small shove "then that's Fun Ghoul and Jet Star," he said pointing to a guy with a ghoul mask on and another guy with a helmet on

"Wait you guys are the Fabulous Four," Radio added on. As she said that Party sat up and pulled up his mask. When we saw they were telling the truth we put away our blasters and pulled our bandanas down.

"What are you guys doing on the side of the road just sitting here" Missle pointed out.

"We ran out of gas, and there isn't a station in this zone," Ghoul muttered from under his mask before pulling it off.  

"We have some in the trunk if you want," I smirked as I went to go to get it from the car. After Party and I refueled their trans, we headed our separate directions.

"Well that was interesting, wasn't it?" Radio said out of the blue as we continued our drive to Dr. D's.

The girls dropped me off at Dr.D's so I could get our next mission while they went back 'home' to our gas station to grab some more supplies. I open the door and casually walk into Dr.D's base,

"Hey Dr. D, what our new mission?"

"Hi Electric, there's another drac facility in zone 1 that I need you guys to take out," Dr. D says cooly as he hands me a piece of paper. A moment later the door flys open and before anyone can do anything else my gun is trained on the head of the visitor. I lower my gun when I see Party and the rest of the Fabulous Four. 

"Wow someone's antsy today." Ghoul sasses as he sits down on a worn couch in the corner of the room.

"Sorry about him we ran out of coffee so he's in a mood" Jet replies, giving Ghoul a small smack on his arm.

"Nah it's fine, I understand the struggle" I smirk at the guys.

Just then the door opens again and Cherry, Missle, and Radio shuffle inside with their heads low.

"What's up with you guys, where are the supplies?" I demand.

"Everything's gone; the gas station, all our stuff, and our food. All burned." Cherry said coldly.

"This can't be fucking happening!" I shout as I kick a fold away chair across the room before storming outside. After I leave out of the corner of my eye Missle sighs before handing Radio a protein bar. The guys look at them confused.

"Missle bet me that Electric wouldn't throw a fit, and that was her throwing a fit." Radio smiled as she bit into the bar. Even though I'm pissed that made me smile slightly 

I sit against the wall outside, all my belongings are gone, all our equipment and food. What are we supposed to do now? Party walks outside and sits next to me,

"I'm sorry about what happened, we all talked inside and agreed that you guys can stay with us," Party said softly. I smiled weakly as we got up and Party went to get everyone so we could head to their base.

After following the Fabulous Four, we arrived at a run-down diner in Zone 6 just as the sun was setting. We all got out of our cars and headed inside.

"Welcome, to our home," Kobra announced as we walked inside. The diner was relatively clean, with a row of red booths along the back wall, and black and white tiles lining the floor.

"It's nice," Cherry adds as she looks around.

"The guys and I were that you guys will have to share bedrooms with us because there aren't enough," Ghoul winks before getting hit around the head by Party.

"Stop being a perv Ghoul. Anyway; Missle you can share with Kobra, Cherry you can share with Jet, Electric you're sharing with me and Radio you have to share with Ghoul" Party says while looking everywhere but our eyes. I brush it off as we follow the guys to the makeshift bedrooms in the back of the diner. 

I trail behind Party into the room, there was one medium sized bed in the corner, a small desk with papers beside it, and cases of what I assume are clothes and supplys occupy the rest of the room. Party grabs a pair of sweatpants and an old t-shirt and hands them to me,

"Here, sorry its not much but we can get you some more clothes and stuff eventually," he mumbles as he makes his way to the door so I can change.

"Thanks Party" I call after him before getting changed and slipping under the covers. As i begin to fall asleep I hear Party coming back into the room, changing and getting under the covers aswell. He has his back agianst mine, it felt odd but not bad. I eventually slipped off into a deep sleep.
