Scott's POVIt feels like everything's changed since I kissed him. What was I thinking? He's my teacher for crying out loud! "Well technically you don't have drama, he's just a teacher. And a hot one at that" that little voice in my head chimed in. Groaning I closed the book I was trying to read and sat up a bit more on my bed. My room wasn't anything fancy. It was a dark blue color and I had a two dressers and a book shelf which was almost completely full by now. I don't know why but I was attracted to mr.grassi. Mitch. Just the thought of his name made a small smile appear. He was entrancing, but most of all, his eyes are what gets me. You could get lost in his dark brown eyes but there was a story behind them. He kind of reminded me of the main character in my book. His name was troye and he had this deep love for his, what he said, was his soulmate travis. From what I've read they were in love and it seemed like it would be happily ever after but that was until the next paragraph.
"Then one night we got into a fight. It was me who started it but I wasn't prepared for what I found afterwards. We were so close for what seemed like centuries but it seemingly stopped in that moment. Sorrow and regret swallowed me whole upon my loss of my love. I told myself that it was for the better. That he didn't want to continue a life like this, with me. But it never does work does it? Talking yourself down. That night with his blood on my hands I promised myself that I would never love again. That I would never let this happen ever again.."
People usually didn't like the books I read but it didn't matter to me. Century of love and loss by Julian Cross. He didn't write many in his lifetime but this one was the one that stood out the most. The book starts out with so much love and now it seems that it's ending in despair. Isn't that life though? I sighed and put the book back in my bag for tomorrow and nearly fell off my bed at the sight although once I blinked it was gone. He was gone. "Im just tired" I think to myself. I could've swore I saw Mitch by the tree outback but that couldn't be. He couldn't be there. I changed into some sleep clothes and put my glasses on the end table before turning off the light and trying to get some sleep.
The next week I didn't see Mitch anywhere. I even went to the auditorium hoping to see him up on stage but he wasn't there. Maybe he was sick? But what if he quit or something? What if it was because of me? This was going to drive me crazy if I didn't get any answers. There was only one place I knew where he would absolutely be and that would be his house. It was a while away from town and had quite a bit of woods near but I was sure he'd be there. At the end of class I ran out to my car and tried to remember where his house was but unfortunately I lost my way half way into the woods. Cursing a bit I got out and decided to try to find the right path again but somehow got onto the familiar path I've been on only a handful of times at most. I parked in the driveway and walked up to the door cautiously and knocked softly. I waited for the door to open, glancing over at the car that was already in the driveway when I got there. I bit my lip and was about to knock again but it opened to reveal mitch but something was off about him. He looked paler than usual and his usual brown eyes looked like they had a more red tint to them. He had on an attire of all black and his bangs were a bit astray. "well, this was unexpected. What brings you hear scott?" He asked his voice I bit rougher than usual. Maybe he was getting sick.. "oh..uhm..I just wanted to make sure you were okay since you haven't been in for a while..and..uhm..yeah.." I trailed off feeling my cheeks burn worst by the second. He chuckled a bit and I looked up to see a smile form on his lips. "would you like to come in? I've been needing to talk to you anyways" he asked stepping to the side.
