My heart is pounding. My hands are shaking. They might have found a heartbeat. She may have never died. They could have been wrong. I want nothing more than for them to walk out and say that she is alive, just she was in a coma, and she was able to fight through it and still be alive. Barely.

What felt like hours, a doctor finally walked out. He had no expression on his face. Oh no. Oh no. That's all I can think. That's when he starts talking. " Tris Prior is alive, but barely. She is not awake, and she could be lost any minute at any time. We will acknowledge you when we get more information. She is currently being treated for her wounds in the fact that she could survive. You may visit her in an hour or so if you would like. " " that would be great, thank you, " i reply.He walks out of the room.

She is alive. Tris is alive. Knowing she could be gone any minute scares me. But the she is alive. Fear and relief spread through my body. 1 more hour, and I can see her. If only she would wake up by then. But she is alive. Barely, but my one and only tris is alive.
