Soldier made it, his expression unclear. My hand slipped just as Mercy took it. She pulled. I was a dead weight to her, unable to help myself. "No no no!!! Don't let go of my hand! HOLD ON! SOLDIER HELP US!" She screamed in virtual anger. Tears ran down her face.

76 grabbed me by the shoulders. He and Angela just barely managed to pull me up. Soldier looked up the stairs.

Everything started to go back into focus.

"How many are injured down there?" I managed to ask through mumbling.

"None. None that are critical. Just a few bruises and scratches. You and Angela's warning saved our lives." Soldier looked to me and Angela, who was trying to patch me up quickly.

"We gotta get to sector 19." I was wide awake again. I got up, but Angela blocked me off. The adrenaline was rushing in my veins.

"You are bleeding, we need to get you patched up first." My hand was now wrapped.

"I'm fine." I walked past her and Soldier.

I started to run, realizing that Soldier was trying to catch me and prevent me from helping. Mercy rushed after us, calling out my name.

"Now is not the time to be selfless! Please!!! You NEED assistance!!!"

"The children are my main priority!!!" My pace quickened.

My just barely functioning radio went off: "We need you, the door to sector 17 is locked because they don't trust us. You are good at making people believe we are good." It was Mei.

I pulled it out with my good hand. "On my way."

Soldier's footsteps were loud and furious. I have to do this, these children aren't safe until I do something about it.
