Angela Ziegler's P.O.V.
I twiddled with my thumbs as I looked around the room once more.

I hope Y/N is safe. I wish she had come with me back to HQ. That way I'd know where she is and how she is. I know she has to defuse that bomb because she was the only one capable of it who was up there. Her talents never cease to amazing me.

I was not used to being the patient in a medical bay room, so I was feeling slightly anxious. My bullet would would heal quickly, but it would take the replenishment of my blood loss to jumpstart the recovery process.

I should have been feeling a little better by now, ready to go back out there because I knew that I was needed on this mission. I still felt weak though, which didn't concern me all that much. Maybe muscle fatigue and my blurry vision was just from the blood loss.

I found myself getting lost in thought.

What is my status with Y/N? We both have shown interest in each other, at least that's what I think that was...

I was feeling even worse than before, tired to the point where blinking almost left me unconscious. My strength was ebbing, but I was still able to be completely aware of everything around me.

All of a sudden the door flew open.

"Angela! Angela!" Ana came in along with other doctors.

"Wha—" I couldn't help but tense up a little at the sudden commotion that had entered the room.

"The bullet was poisoned!" Ana quickly informed me.

"What do you mean the bullet was poisoned?!" Anxiety began to flow throughout my body, adrenaline kicking in.

"[y/n] got intel on it!" Ana placed an IV in my right arm. "She just saved your life, Angela."

I watched as a light-green antidote entered into my bloodstream.

Saved my life?

"How did she find it out?" I inspected my vitals as I waited for an answer. I immediately felt better already. The medicine worked wonders in less than ten seconds.

"Her body cam footage showed her in a physical altercation with an older gentleman who told her this information in a cocky-like way to possibly scare her. But, as it turns out, he was telling the truth." Ana looked relieved. The extra medical professionals who had been checking up on me left the room.

I didn't feel that same relief. Concern and worry was the only thing on my mind.

"Is [y/n] okay? You said she got in a physical altercation."

Ana remained silent.

"Is [y/n] okay?" I repeated myself more sternly.

I was met with silence once more.

"Is [y/n] okay damnit?!" I was hollering now.

"I don't know."

That's all I got for a response.

"What do you mean 'I don't know'?! What did her body cam footage show?" The thought of Y/N getting hurt out there without me being able to assist her made me want to cry.

"Several blows to the head, then the feed went out." Ana's voice sounded cautious and slightly emotional. "We don't know whether [y/n] is alive or not."

I cannot describe the sound that escaped my lips at the allusion to her possible death. It sounded like a dying goose mixed with the shriek of a woman in a horror film.

Tears escaped my eyes as sobs racked through my body.

"No no no." I began to chant out loud through my fits of weeping.

"We have search parties joining her squad for their reentrance of the building. We're doing absolutely everything we can. We will find her, I promise,
Angela." Ana's hand landed on my shoulder. "I know how much she means to you."

I looked up at her through tear-filled eyes.

"Y-you k-now?"

"Everyone does. Everyone except her." Ana gave me a small smile. "We're going to get you back into shape so you can help us find her, alright?"

I nodded.

"Good." Ana began to make her way to the door.

"Wait."

Ana turned back and met her eyes with mine.

"T-Thank you." I manage to give her a small smile as my sobbing began to calm down.

She nodded and walked out of the room.
