(A/N: Friendly reminder that this is just a fanfiction, I don't hate Lynz, I am just trying to make this funnier)

I had never been part of such a tense situation. Jamia was trying to behave, but Lynz... I felt like she could kill me with her eyes at any moment.

I had invited Gerard over so that Bandit could play with my kids, but of course Lynz wasn't going to stay home alone. Don't get me wrong, I didn't hate her, I just hated the fact that she hated me. So, in the end, we decided to have some tea all together. Jamia prepared some cupcakes with the help of our girls and Gerard brought some cookies.

"So, Frank..." Lynz finally opened her mouth. "What about that new album?" She asked with a teasing tone and Jamia sent her a threatening look.
"We're about to release it, your husband did a great job helping with the work art." I snapped back and she almost chocked on her cupcake. God, this was shaping up to be pretty funny.
"Gerard?" She sent him a why wasn't I informed about this look. Then I realized Jamia didn't know about this either and she seemed confused as well.
"Yeah, he's a great artist so we asked him for help with the cover art." I took a sip of my coffee as I waited for more burns.
"Oh." Lynz said coldly. "Gerard didn't tell me anything about it."
"Well, I didn't know about it either so don't worry." Jamia said and I was afraid that she was mad at me for not telling her.
"Ah, yeah, well, I told you we had met but I forgot to mention it was at the studio." I tried to fix it. "Gerard came to surprise us." I hoped that didn't sound too wrong. I could feel that everyone in the room felt awkward with the topic.
"So..." Gerard tried to think of something else to talk about. "These cupcakes are really tasty, where did you get them?" He said taking a bite of them.
"I made them myself with Lily and Cherry," Jamia said proudly, "I'm glad you like them, you should tell the girls later, they'll get happy about it." She smiled.
"Should I go and take a quick look at them?" Gerard offered. Nope, I couldn't let him leave me alone with the desperate housewives.
"I'll go with you." I said as I stood up. I could feel Jamia's gaze stabbing my back like a knife.

I led him through the corridors to get to the toys room. I swear the house had never felt so big. I could only think about what Jamia and Lynz could be talking about -if they weren't physically fighting each other already. And there was still some part of me that wanted to throw him against the wall and fuck him right there. I was getting better at repressing it but being alone with him didn't help at all.

"Frank?" He said before I opened the door.
"Yeah?"
"This wasn't a good idea." My heart skipped a beat.
"What do you mean?"
"I mean this whole family reunion. Of course I want to be your friend, but I think we should leave our families away. I mean, Lynz is okay with us, but still she doesn't really trust you. And I don't want confrontations between her and Jamia." I nodded.
"I'm sorry I just thought it would be better than saying we were going out by ourselves, you know?"
"Yeah, I guess... I mean, I'm not used to these kinds of situations, so I really don't know what to do!" He laughed.
I finally opened the door to find Lily, Cherry and Bandit hand in hand, going round in circles, singing BFF.
"Oh, God..." I threw my hands to my face smiling. "I see you're having fun, right?"
"Daddy, don't be mad at us for having another new BFF." Cherry said.
"No, that's actually great!" I laughed. "Miles, aren't you playing with them too?" Miles always seemed to be in his own world.
"I'm making a drawing for Bandit." I felt like I was about to cry of happiness, they were so all so cute. I looked at Gerard and he was also smiling like a fool. We were such dads.
"Well, who of you made those delicious cupcakes?" He asked.
"Meeee and Cherry!" Lily screamed.
"You might have to give Bandit some cooking lessons someday!"
"But I don't like cooking." Bandit complained.
"Finished!" Miles suddenly shouted. "For you," he said giving the piece of paper to Bandit, "it is you as a bandit." I was about to lose my shit and Gerard was also trying to hold in his laughter.
"Frankie?" I turned around and I saw Jamia walking to us, followed by Lynz. "Is everything okay?"
"Yeah, they seem to be having a lot of fun." I smiled.
"Bandit, honey, it's time to go home." Lynz called her daughter.
"Nooooooo..." Cherry said.
"When will you come again?" Lily asked Bandit.
"I don't know, when my parents let me."
"Bandit's parents, when will you let her come again?" Cherry insisted. Gerard made eye contact with Lynz, she rolled her eyes.
"Well, we'll see, I guess if she is good, she may come back soon." Lynz said.
It felt like we were all a big family. A big awkward family.
