The way Yuuri introduced Viktor to his family came off as a huge shock. His parents had thought that this was just some alternate reality, and his sister didn't believe it, but somehow did, in a way. Yuuri chose to explain everything to them the next day, as they were all tired and only longed for the sweet blessing that was called sleep.
"Where should I sleep?" Viktor asked. Yuuri turned to him, still not quite believing that he was truly. "Um, well...Since I wasn't really prepared for this, there aren't really any guest rooms available, but..."
"But?"
"You can sleep in my room, I guess," Yuuri muttered, scratching the back of his neck nervously and blushing slightly. It's only been an hour since they met in person, and things have already come to this. Yuuri still couldn't believe it.
Viktor's eyes went wide, and a large grin appeared on his lips as he nodded quickly. "That sounds like a great idea!" Yuuri raised his eyebrows and chuckled softly. He helped Viktor with his bags and led him to his room. "Sorry if it's messy...I haven't had the time to clean up," Yuuri said with a sigh as he opened his bedroom door. Viktor shrugged and replied, "It's okay. It can't be as bad as mine and Chris's apartment."
"Oh, please, it might be worse."
Viktor chuckled and rolled his eyes, walking into Yuuri's room. He looked around, sort of amazed by being in a new atmosphere. Yuuri looked at him nervously. He wasn't used to this, and this is his first time meeting Viktor in person, and oh God, this all seems like a dream. To him, this doesn't even seem like it's actually happening. He feels as if at any moment now he'll wake up in his plain, boring bedroom with no one like Viktor around to greet him with a 'good morning'.
"This is definitely not as messy as my apartment." Viktor's comment made him snap out of his thoughts and back into reality. Or whatever the hell that was at this point. "Well, that's reassuring," he chuckled. "Let me clear out the floor and lay the futon out for you. I'll just put your bags here." He proceeded to put Viktor's things in a corner of the room as Viktor inspected the room further, still quite mesmerized with his new surroundings. Yuuri stifled a chuckle. He looked like a little kid.
If this wasn't reality, and this was all one of Yuuri's many dreams, he hoped that he'd never wake up.
◇
The two fell asleep at around three in the morning, because they just couldn't stop talking. And to Yuuri's surprise, Viktor was completely immune to the effects of jet-lag. But then again, Viktor was always full of surprises.
Yuuri was pressed close to the wall, while Viktor slept beside him at the edge of the bed. Yuuri somewhat feared that he'd fall off the bed, but then again, it would be a funny sight to see. Just as Yuuri thought about it, in his half-awake half-asleep state, Viktor began slipping off the bed. Yuuri's eyes widened when he realized, all too late, that Viktor was falling off the bed. But his movement were too slow. Soon, Viktor was off the bed, and fell onto the floor with a harsh thud, and Yuuri was getting dragged down with him, since they were sharing the same blanket. Yuuri yelped in surprise when he felt himself fall off the bed and onto Viktor. The fall itself didn't wake Viktor, but Yuuri falling onto him did.
Viktor whined and groaned as he opened his eyes groggily. "Ow..." he muttered in a groan. His eyes adjusted to the darkness slowly, and soon, he could see the smaller of the two laying on top of him with a horrified look on his face. "I-I'm so sorry, Viktor!" he whisper yelled. Viktor, in dream-like state, said, "You know...You look very handsome without your glasses." Yuuri's cheeks were tinted with a deep, dark blush, and his eyes widened slightly. "V-Viktor..."
"This is a very compromising position, don't you think?" Viktor muttered, smirking slightly to himself. Yuuri's blush darkened, if that was even possible. He smacked Viktor's arm, making him wake up a bit more. "Ow!" he yelped, pouting at Yuuri. "Don't say that stuff!" he exclaimed. Viktor chuckled and rolled his eyes. "Alright, sorry." He wrapped his arms around Yuuri, bringing him closer to him. "V-Viktor, we need to get back up." The Russian man groaned and muttered with a yawn, "Let's just stay like this. I'm too lazy to get up."
"Viktor, your back's going to hurt by morning if you sleep like this."
"I don't care."
Yuuri sighed and rolled his eyes. "Fine, whatever." He rested his head on Viktor's chest, and sighed again, listening to the rhythmic beat of his heart. Yuuri still didn't believe this was actually happening in real life. He still believed that this was another one of his fantasies or dreams. But he tried to ignore the thought, focusing on Viktor's very much realistic heartbeat resonating through him.
◇
Yuuri was, a matter of fact, right about Viktor's back hurting. The silver-haired man had been complaining about it the entire morning. "I told you so," was the only thing Yuuri told him, with a smirk playing on his lips as the taller of the two only whined and groaned in pain.
They'd only been together for about twelve hours, but Yuuri felt as if he'd been living with him an entire lifetime. And it was a good feeling, indeed.
