Chapter 2: How I Met Vernon

Se-Hwa's POV

Club member: I wish I had a boyfriend like Vernon. Anyways, how'd you guys meet?

The truth is...

I was doing some online dating and agreed to meet up with a guy at the club. He didn't seem all bad until he started drinking. He drank so much to the point where he got so drunk that he didn't know what he was doing. He started making out with other girls and even assaulted me.

I screamed in terror and I saw a fist fly into his face. That same hand grabbed my wrist and pulled me out into the cold air of the night. 

Vernon: Are you all right?

Me: Yeah I think I'm fine. How about your fist?

Vernon: I take tae-kwon-do. I'm fine. Who is that guy anyway?

Me: My "date". We met online.

Vernon: Don't let anybody treat you that way ever again, okay?

Me: Hehe, okay. *blushes* Well thank you, bye!

Vernon: Wait! Can I have your phone number?

We exchanged phone numbers and started texting each other. We became good friends and coincidentally, he moved to my school! That's when we started dating each other. 

I snapped back into reality and forgot what the question was.

Club member: Hello? Earth to Lena... I asked you how you met Vernon.

Me: Oh yeah. Um, we bumped into each other in the library... 'cuz I was studying.

Lana's POV

Lena: Oh yeah. Um, we bumped into each other in the library 'cuz I was studying.

Sureeeeee. Just keep the lies coming Lena. 

I don't say anything because I know that her story isn't exactly the sweetest. I quickly change the topic about who we ship in the school.

Lena: Hahahahaha I know who I ship... you and Joshua *raises eyebrows*

Me: No, we're just friends.

Lena: Too good to be friendzzz... hehe

Me: Whatever. I'm tired, let's go to sleep

Group member: Me too.

Lena: Okay.

With that I laid my head down and peacefully drifted to a whole different world.

I suddenly felt a warm embrace and I looked back to see who it was. It was Joshua, staring back at me with those beautiful, big eyes. Maybe Lena was right. I might have feelings for him...

I startled awake and realized it was a dream. Awww, it did feel too good to be true. I looked back and Lena was hugging onto me like a koala. Haha she's too funny. Welp, I'm going back to sleep.

Se-Hwa's POV

The sun was in my eyes. I looked over to my right and saw Vernon staring right at me. I love him so much. Then, in the blink of an eye, he disappeared; gone with the wind. Hot tears started rolling down my eyes and I woke up from the terrible dream. Whew, it's not real. For the rest of the night, I couldn't go back to sleep. It was like 3:00 in the morning anyways, so I just went downstairs and decided to make a big breakfast for everyone.

At around 5:00 there was a knock at the front door. I wiped my hands on my apron and walked over to the door. I opened it and saw Vernon! So my dream wasn't true after all, yay! I quickly hugged him and let him inside. He had something behind his back... ????? What is it? He whipped it out so fast that I couldn't get a good view of what it was. It was a small rectangular piece of paper....
