2 years later

Your time with Polyusica had been long but rewarding, it had taught you more than any book you could've ever read. It also taught you how well known and respected the pink haired woman was. As much as she hated people, it was very obvious she wanted to help them. Originally, you had no idea how long your apprenticeship would last. Polyusica estimated 5 years minimum, but even she was still learning, or so she said. You were slightly suspicious that she didn't want you to leave.

But, you also got to meet lots of new people, both magical and non-magical. Guilds across Fiore came to Polyusica for magical help and treatment for magical wounds. But as hard as the work was, it was rewarding. For the last two years you helped her run the medical ward at the grand magic games, one of your favourite part of the years. It meant you met even more people than before, all of the guilds, the most powerful to be exact.

But, you finally got to meet Fairytail. The guild that had so many links with your friends, and more specifically, Jellal. You hid your guild mark from them though, and as a result your friendship with the guild member remained unaffected. You doubted they'd accept you or your help if they knew who you were associated with. The guild had grown smaller in the few years that you had known it, but it hadn't broken their spirit, and you admired that about them. They continued to search for their lost friends of 3 years, not that they knew what happened, only that it did.

Erza Scarlet was one of the names on that missing list.

But, if there was thing this job taught you, it was that nothing was impossible. You had watched Polyusica heal ailments that, if they'd been bought to you, you would have no idea where to start, let alone how save them. It was incredible to watch her work.

Right now, you were on your way to the Grand Magic Games. Polyusica travelled up a few days before with Fairytail and left you in charge of watching over a sick patient back at her house. They weren't extremely ill, but enough to be bedridden. So you were a few days late to the games, but hey, better late than never.

"(Y/N)," a voice said behind you, a voice you knew well.

You spin on your heals and your heart soared at the sight of your three friends, "Jellal! Ultear! Meredy!" You shout with glee, running up to the trio. Meredy gives you a quick hug before pulling back. When she does, they all glance at each other, unsure. "What?" You ask, knowing them well enough to know they needed to ask something, but weren't sure how to. Ever since you left they'd been extra careful to ask for anything, and were cautious about asking for favours. Whether they were scared you'd get hurt doing the favours or of your reaction you weren't sure.

Jellal sighs, "we need your help." Blunt and to the point, you wouldn't expect anything else from the blue haired mage.

Ultear elbows him, making Jellal curse in pain, her eyes were hard as she glared at him, "I told you not to ask (Y/N) like that," she turns back to you, "you don't have to, if you don't want to. It may be dangerous and after last time-"

"-It's fine Ultear. I left because I was a burden and I wasn't any help," you smile.

"That's not true (Y/N), you must know that! You're our friend and we'd never look down on you just because you don't know magic!" Meredy added, tears filling her eyes.

You give her a sympathetic smile before pulling her into another hug, "I know, but I needed to become a better healer so that I could help my magical crime stopping friends." Sniffling, Meredy pulled out of the hug, nodding her head in understanding as she wiped the tears from her eyes.

You turn back to the other two, "what do I need to do?" You show your guild mark and they all smile, "I'm still apart of this guild so I have to do my part too."
