The Next Day
Jellal dragged himself into the kitchen the next morning for breakfast. He had stayed up all night furious but the early hours this morning he'd realised how wrong he was. Loud chatter and laughter filled the halls, and he assumed you were getting to know the new members. Although, he was curious as to why he couldn't smell your usual cooking. But, Jellal quickly dismissed it as he'd either missed your mouth watering food, or that you hadn't started cooking yet.
He sighed, he would have to apologise to you though, and in front of the new members. They were giving him a hard-enough time when he told them about you. Erik had picked up on his feelings and quickly whispered them to the others. Especially when they thought him and Erza were a thing.
Jellal wandered into the Kitchen, everyone had helped themselves to some sort of food or the other. Everyone was here, all except the one person he was looking for. You.
Jellal scanned the room again, waiting for you to suddenly pop up behind a cabinet, or...something. Truth be told, he wasn't sure where you were. After all, you were always in the kitchen. It was routine for him to wake up and find you there.
'Where is she?' he thought to himself, watching Erik smirk at him from the corner of his eye.
"Morning Jellal," Meredy called to him, nursing a cup of tea in by the window. She had spotted the dishevelled mage the moment he walked in, and after he made no move to approach anyone, she decided to speak to him.
He took a deep breath before walking over to her, "morning Meredy," he greeted, taking a deep breath as he prepared himself to make his much needed apology, "I'm sorry about yesterday and the last months. I was stressed and I didn't know what to do so I took it out on you."
Meredy shook her head, waving her hand in dismissal, "it's fine. I know you just wanted to protect (Y/N). But she is right, you can't protect her from everything and it wasn't right to keep Ultear's death from her."
Jellal sighed, running his fingers through his hair, "I know. Have you seen (Y/N), I need to apologise to her too but I can't find her."
Meredy shook her head, her eyes glancing over Jellal's shoulder as she scanned the room for her friend, "no. I haven't seen her since yesterday when she went for a walk, have you checked her room." Jellal raised a brow at the young mage, as she sheepishly scratched the back of her head, "you're right, stupid place to check."
Jellal turned to the rest of the guild, "has anyone seen (Y/N)?"
Four of the five friends looked at each other in question. They didn't know you yet, but all of them had felt a connection with you. They knew the look in your eyes. It was one you shared with them. It was the look of someone that had to endure evil and had lived through it. But where you turned to the light, they turned to the dark. It was something they all slightly envied you for. Your strength, of heart, soul and mind.
"No darling," Sorano finally answered, "I haven't seen her since your lovers quarrel yesterday."
Jellal narrowed his eyes at the white-haired mage, "we didn't have a lover's quarrel. We had an argument and she went for a walk to think things through."
Sorano smirked, "whatever you say darling. But that sounds an awful lot like a lover quarrel to me."
"YOU SHOULD NEVER TURN YOUR BACK ON LOVE!" Richard chanted, throwing is arms wide and hitting one of the cabinets behind him. Knocking the door off. "Whoops," he smiled sheepishly.
Macbeth rolled his eyes, glancing back around to Jellal with a bored expression, "I personally slept through your breakup but the others keep telling me about it, but other than that I have no idea where she went."
