The car flew past an abundance of trees, splashing through Mitch and Scott's sight as they went down the road to somewhere.

Mitch stared at the beauty of the world around him, grinning at the passing families cradled in laughter and joy.

"Hey, Scottie?" Mitch asked, grinning at another family: A mother and father, gently swinging their toddler and she laughed hysterically.

"Yeah?"

"Do you ever think we'll start a family?" he asked, relaxing in his chair a bit more than usual.

"Possibly one day, why?" Scott asked, instinctively grabbing Mitch's hand.

Mitch shrugged, crossing his legs.
"I like the idea of a baby."

Scott smiled, bringing Mitch's hand up to his lips to kiss it.

"I do too."

When the vehicle stopped, they appeared to be infront of a diner, old and vintage looking.

The outside was pretty plain: The usual white wooden boards on the outside with a big light up sign on the front of the roof.

Scott gracefully helped Mitch out of the passengers seat and grabbed his hand to lace their fingers together.

Mitch bumped the car door shut with his hip with a giggled, and then they started for the door.

Mitch gently pushed the door open and a little bell went off on the top, bring attention to the server at the counter.

"Welcome to Mays'." A brunette woman in a navy blue uniform with a light blue apron greeted, her accent lacing her words heavily.

"Thank you much." Scott responded, immediately trekking to the back of the diner to get a table where their friends were.

"Awe Scottie! Everyone's here!" Mitch gawked, instantly bending across the table to hug the rest of his best friends.

"Surprise. I thought we'd all have lunch, ya know, since it's been a while since all of us have hung out together." Scott explained, slipping his sunglasses into the breast pocket of his jacket.

Seated at the table were three individuals, all firmly acquainted with Mitch and Scott intently.

A fair woman on the far left was wearing her blonde hair in a soft bun with a bright yellow and white sundress with daisies askew along the fabric. Her black cherry lipstick matched her finger and toenails that were in open-toed sandals. Her name was Kirstie.

In the middle was a young man with a well-groomed beard. He was wearing a maroon beanie and corresponded with his dark red and black flannel. His jeans were a dark blue and his beige boots went well with his ascetic. This gentle giant was Avi.

On the far right was a young man who wore a black snapback with his black flannel with an exposed white t-shirt underneath. His black jeans and black Jordans' completed everything. His name was Kevin.

Mitch and Scott sat on separate sides of the booth: Mitch parking is next to Kirstie and Scott sitting next to Kevin.

The five of them laughed and conversed for hours on end, reliving and creating new memories. They caught up on past occurrences and situations that each individual had, sort of like their own fete.

(Fete is a French derivative. It means and gathering for a celebration with a feast.)

The peak of light soon dismembered, bringing another day of darkness.

The five of them headed their separate ways, except for Scott and Mitch who gathered in the car.

"Today was fantastic!" Mitch exclaimed, reaching his hands to a sky sprinkled millions of lights.

"It certainly was, Love." Scott replied, revving the engine and slowly pulling out of the empty parking lot.

"I hope we can do this again someday." Mitch concluded after a moment of reliving the days events.

"I'm sure we will," Scott chimed. "It's not like we have lives or anything...well at least you don't."

"Oh my god! So rude!" Mitch laughed, mouth agape at what stumbled from Scott's mouth.

Scott threw his head back and let out a heart warming laugh.

"I'm just kidding babe."

"Mhm, sure."

The car slowly rumbled to a halt, once again infront of Mitch's house.

Mitch carefully stepped out of the car, walked swiftly around to the driver's side. He leaned down and planted a quick kiss on Scott's lips.

"Thank you for taking me out for this amazing day." He said sweetly.

"No problem at all. Love you!" Scott replied.

Mitch walked towards his door and quickly waved before stepping inside and disappearing for the night.
