The lunch bell rang in the middle of the day. Half of the students were either relieved or disgusted, but regardless grateful.
Scott stood outside his car, waiting for Mitch to show up so he could take him out.
His hands in his pockets and a toothpick in-between his teeth, he tottered for a while, he lingered patiently.
Mitch skipped down the steps before giving Scott a smile and walking over. Mitch almost ran into a group of guys as he made his way over, but missed them in the knick of time. He roughly apologized and continued down his original path.
Scott and Mitch hugged for a quick moment and smiled at each other.
"Gross." One guy murmured. Scott snapped his head up and glared at the guys.
"Got a problem?" Scott asked, tipping his sunglasses of the bridge of his nose.
"I don't like gays." The guy replied back, crossing his arms over his chest.
"Well, I don't remember where I asked for your opinion." Scott spat back, sizing himself up to the guy.
"You want a problem?" The guy questioned, stepping out of the group.
"No, but I sure can give you one."
Scott and they guy were practically growling at each other, venom on the tips of their tongues and teeth ready to bite.
"Woah. Okay, no." Mitch said, pushing Scott back towards the car.
"Mitch-"
"No. Absolutely not. We aren't going to start anything." He told him, sitting in the passengers seat of Scott's car.
"But Mitch they-"
"Scott if you don't get your ass in the car, I will walk and get lunch myself."
Scott immediately shut up. He sat down in the driver's seat, glared at the group of guys who stood their smirking, and put the car in drive.

"When I see them again, I'm gonna sock them." Scott said in-between bites of a chicken sandwich.
"Please don't," Mitch countered, placing a forkful of salad in his mouth. "We don't need conflict. Too early"
"They were rude." Scott pushed.
"They were stating an opinion that we don't agree with. So we just move along." Mitch said, brushing his hands together.
Scott grumbled and sighed.
Mitch placed his hand on Scotts.
"You know I love you. Their opinion doesn't matter, because we have each other. Our thoughts of each other is all the should matter, because in the end, we're all we've got." Mitch explained, kissing Scott's hand.
Scott smiled and nodded, returning to his sandwich to disregard the events from earlier.
