Harry sighed as he finished sweeping the lobby. It was quiet. It always died down right before close. Normally, during the week,  students stayed later studying. However on the weekends it would usually die down early and stay that way until they closed. He usually didn't even work this late, but Kyle had called in sick and hadn't been able to find anyone to cover for him.

Not that he was complaining. Many times this was the only chance that he had to be alone; which means that he had a chance to think and do a bit of studying of his own.

Harry glanced around the café to make sure that he was truly alone, before he waved his hand and concentrated on his book bag with his school books. Instantly, they floated towards him and laid themselves gently on the table.

He had tried to cut out magic completely but the longer he went without using magic, the more out of control he felt.  His magic needed an outlet. That was how he found himself practicing his wandless magic. He had left his wand at Gringotts so that he wasn't tempted to use it so he had to resort to doing things wandlessly.

Hermione had always told him that he had an affinity for wandless magic, but he didn't really see what she meant until he started trying to do spells wandlessly. Over the last year or so he had gotten to the point where he didn't even need to think of a certain spell. He just willed his magic to do what he needed.

Shaking his head to focus, he found himself in a comfortable routine of cleaning the bar and reading his accounting text at the same time. He so involved in his work that he almost missed the customer at the counter.

"Excuse me." The girl said quietly.

Harry snapped his head up and had to stop himself from staring. Not only was he caught off guard, but the girl in front of him was absolutely beautiful. She had a delicate face, almost like porclin and golden blond hair that fell just past her shoulders in large, lose curls. Shaking his head he forced himself to be professional.

"I'm sorry. I didn't see you come in. What can I get for you?" He asked as he stepped up to the register.

"It's alright. Can I just get a small vanilla latte with an extra shot of espresso?" She asked quietly. He noticed that she had an American accent though she was a lot more shy than most American's he had met.

They were both silent as he took her payment and started making her latte. After a moment, she cleared her throat and asked,

"What time do you close? I was hoping that I could stay and do some homework." The girl asked from the handoff counter.

Harry glanced at the clock. Technically they were suppose to close at 9:00 which was two hours away. He had wanted to close early but the business major in him couldn't turn away a customer.

"We close at 9:00." He said simply as he put her drink on the counter.

She took her drink and hefted her book bag up on her shoulder slightly, "Thanks. I will probably hang out here for a bit, if that's okay?"

Harry smiled at her, "Of course. If you need anything else, let me know."

She smiled back at him and went to other side of the café and began pulling out her books. Harry sighed and forced himself to get back to work. She was pretty yes, but he didn't have time for relationships. It was hard enough trying to keep up on his school work, the café, plus maintain the friendships that he had built. He wasn't sure he could add one more thing to his plate.

For another hour, the café stayed quiet with the exception of the girl turning the page in her book or Harry pulling out one cleaning product or another.
