One Direction - For Better or For Worse

Chapter 4 Charlie's POV

Charlotte's POV

My bags are checked, I have my ticket in hand, and I can hardly control my excitement! I'm finally on my way to college! And not just any college, the college of my dreams! Yes, I have a scholarship to attend Richmond! I can not wait! I absolutely adore England and everything about it! I've always loved it; their accents, their food, their way of life! It all fascinates me!  

I have to admit I feel bad that I didn't pick a college closer to Kansas. I don't want to leave my lifelong friends or my grandma, who took me in when my mother left me. I can tell my grandmother is wanting to cry but she's as stubborn as a mule so won't admit it. She has always provided for me and loved me even when I pushed her away. I truly am thankful for her.  

"Final boarding call. Final boarding call." a voice says over the intercom. "Well, you better go! Be safe and keep that head on your shoulders! And remember no boys without my permission!" Yes Grandma." I say simply agreeing. " I love you!" "I love you to. Make sure to call me when you land!" "I promise." I reply as I give her a hug and turn to board my flight. I turn around one last time, blow a kiss, then I board....

This is the first time I've ever gone anywhere by myself! I'm a nervous wreck! I start biting my nails "Stop it stupid" I mumble pulling my hand away from my mouth. Then I look up and to my surprise there is a very attractive guy around my age who looks like he could seduce anyone standing in the aisle. He finished closing the storage bin before he looked down at me. 

"Hey" he said giving me a very cheeky grin.  

"Hello" I reply shyly.  

"Looks as if we are sitting together. I'm... err... Jason!"  

"Haha did you forget your name? I'm Charlotte, but you can call me Charlie if you like." I say trying to sound flirtatious.  

"Hahaha only for a moment. Charlie, that's a great name! Kinda spunky yet fun. I like it" He said winking.  

I felt as if I just died. 

"So why are you heading to England?" I said trying to make small talk.  

"That's where I live. I was just visiting some friends here for now."

Man did I feel stupid. Of course he's British! He has an accent...

"Really?! I'm on my way to college and to be honest I'm freaking out!" I replied with my nervous chuckle.

"Don't worry love, I'm sure you'll be fine!" Jason said touching my shoulder.

I couldn't tell if he was flirting with me or just being friendly...

All I knew was that I have a nine hour flight with this really cute guys. I'm practically drooling over him! His curly hair, deep green eyes, his dimples, and cheeky grin. Sorry Grandma, so much for no boys....

You have no idea how upset I was when we landed. But I did figure out a lot about Jason. He is into music, has a sister, he's more of a cat person than dog person ( which I am to ), he is in a band with four of his best friends (which I find very hot), and he lobes cooking. So pretty much I think I found my soulmate. That's crazy talk though! I just met him! I'm getting way ahead of myself. I just met this guy, I'll probably never see him again, and why would he be interested in me? I'm just average... somewhat long blonde hair, normal blue eyes, fair complexion. It's not like I was stunning or anything...

Just then Jason interrupted my thoughts...

"Hey, I know this is crazy because we just met but may I have your number so I can give you a call sometime?"

"Of course! I'd love that!"

"Great! I actually don't live that far from Richmond so I'll give you a call sometime soon. Maybe we can grab lunch or something..."

"Sounds good to me!"

I quickly put my number in his phone.  

"I'll see you later, I need to get going..." I retorted. I honestly didn't want to leave him, he is so much fun!"

"Alright darling, I'll talk to you soon"

He smiled then walked off.

O my gosh. Did my dream guy just ask me out? I think to myself while heading to baggage claim...
